There was a tiny spring and a cog rolled under the puff so it wouldn't wind on, apart from that my ninja hands got it done no problem. I found it when I was finished. You identify most the things with pictures. Oh and I put the lens together upside down or something the first time. But I only mixed up 2 screws.

The instructions are pretty good and the hardest part, the light chamber, is pre assembled, but they give you instructions in case you want to dismantle it and put it together again.

It was fun and I didn't really get irritated at any point. It only took me longer because I insisted on filing and sanding all the pieces.

The mirror is very good quality as well, looks as good as my vintage F1. Obviously the optics are plastic for a reason but it has very nice depth of field. Which is most the point of an SLR besides clarity.

We'll see when we process the film!

There's probably a market for lenses as well and there's a flash available.

Oh and my brother who's a Japanese hipster nerd has assured me it "looks dope", so that's good.

You don't need to use the wet method for this, and obviously you don't need to cut it up. You don't even need to create a hinge. Should be fine as a peel off, stick down, rub down one-shot thing. It's pretty self explanatory and it's not a complex decal that would give you challenges. I've already burnished it on the back actually, so just peel it off when you've figured out where to put it, with the graphic facing DOWN, take the transfer, flip it, stick it wherever and burnish / rub down hard with the card over the decal on your surface and then peel off the app tape at a sharp 30 degree angle. It sounds way more complicated than it is. You can use the card to work out bubbles and flatten it a bit more. I often feel like I should include meticulous instructions with decals but I've sold hundreds of them with no instructions and I haven't been hunted down by an angry mob yet.

Got it a bit more rolled up than I had hoped (I don't like rolling them and wobbling it) so flatten it out a bit this way too.

Also I strawberry floated up that shirt twice. Originally it was gold and I forgot to reverse the design, and then I printed the Z on the back upside down and only noticed right at the last minute. I kept that one and made it again lol. And this is meant to be my job. To be fair, I had a cold.
