Grcade Solves: Conspiracies

We have some brilliant minds here, if we put our heads together I'm sure we can explain how the illuminati/government and their ilk control the world.
Here's an easy example: Were the Moon landing's directed by Stanley Kubrick? Yes! However Stanley was a stickler for realism, so he insisted everything be filmed on location, furthermore he hated to travel so he just sent the astronauts to the moon for them to fake it themselves.
Here are some others I feel we can tackle:
- Government covering up the existence of Aliens.
- Government covering up the existence of the Loch Ness Monster
- The Illuminati canceling YOUR favourite TV show.

The idea of Ancient Aliens coming to Earth is actually correct.
But what all you sheeple get wrong is that the clue was in the name, these were very very old aliens that came to the Earth to enjoy a nice retirement. And then humans ruined it all by getting obsessed and building pyramids and henges made of stone in their honour. It made them a bit uncomfortable and they ended up leaving to spend their last days on Venus instead.

I think we need some more details about this day for us to make a reasonable deduction. Were there any guests in black/lizard people over that day?

Brilliant. That also explains why all the monuments, like the Nazca lines were so big, they probably had very poor eyesight.

I find most conspiracies incredulous or can be boiled down to money, but its the illuminati/music industry ones that trigger me the most. Ooh, someone 'hid' something in a music video; a strawberry floating music video which is meant to be watched and distributed? Well done sherlock, your confirmation bias lives to fight another day.

Oh another doubter here I see! They had poor eyesight? THEY WERE ANCIENT ALIENS NOT ELDERLY HUMANS!!
The Nazca lines were so big because the aliens were 500 foot high. Would you give a 1cm x 1cm drawing to an elephant? No! You would scale that up so that the elephant could enjoy it properly.

The Illuminati hide things in music videos in the same way that painters sign their work. They paid for it, they should get the credit.

Conspiracy theories/theorists fascinate me. I don't believe any of them for a second, but the mentality behind them is remarkable. They hold such a clever position - ignoring anything the contravenes their point of view, or simply flitting on to the next issue. They bear no burden of proof and see the lack of evidence as fact.
It's easy to appear correct (to yourself) when you can just sit back and ask a series of pointed questions, moving onto the next when you don't get the answer you want.

Conspiracy theories are all started by the government in order to control us. We are so busy looking for Illuminati triangles on Beyonce, researching if jet fuel can melt steel and if there are footprints on the moon that we fail to see what the government are truly up to.
That’s right, the true conspiracy is the conspiracy theory itself. Those sneak shape shifting reptilian bastards.

I find it fascinating and infuriating in equal measure. Someone I know is always banging on about "the powers that be" and "the people that are
really in charge" when talking about politics. Whenever I press him on it he's never able to go into more detail and just talks about how everyone is manipulated by the media.
What can you say to someone like that? The idea is so ingrained in their heads that any doubt you cast on it is seen as being "a sheep" who needs to open their mind.
