Whilst I don't believe any of them (probably), I can definitely see the appeal of some, they really do scratch a certain itch that makes you think "yeah I could see that happening", even in the face of various debunks. It's a fascinating mindset that these conspiracy theorists have. All good clean fun (except when it's not).
I can see why people are drawn to these theories. The general mistrust of governments coupled with the fact that there have been actual conspiracies that have been carried out by governments.
Where I lose interest is when it comes down to the absolute impossible (the Earth is flat!), the absolute ridiculous (Nixon era US government being able to cover up the moon landings!) or the absolute insanity (aliens built stone pyramids everywhere!).
Barry Dodds is so interesting (I believe he is real and not a character) because he gives us an insight into the type of person that believes this stuff. Usually they are reasonably normal people, they just have this crazy need to believe utter rubbish.
Or maybe I am NWO and I just want you to think that.....
