Amazing episode. It also had my favourite Larry/Leon conversation:

I think it would take a long time for the knife to get here from Canada. We'll need to devise some kind of high velocity catapult, or a railgun.

If only we had some sort of "flying machine" that could transport Rightey and his powerful knife. I guess so called "science" is too busy wasting its time on climate change to bother inventing something useful to let us cross the oceans quickly. :x

We already have the technology available. Wrap it up and take it to the Post Office. It is then teleported (no one knows how this works, just trust me that it does) to the destination. Witchcraft.

Yes?

The Post Office are well known as a den of black magic enthusiasts. Nothing but sin and pensions in there. :x

I don't know. I don't recognise technology beyond what appears in the castle age of Age of Empires II. The rest is just magic.

But I once tried to send beer to another member there and they got very upset and gave me a leaflet all about it. I'm pretty sure they would be concerned if I told them it was a knife, especially one this sharp.

Maybe it should go back in the packaging to be safe?

I dictate all of my posts to my scribe, who then writes it out onto parchment before getting a delivery boy to take it to somebody who knows how to work this "internet" thing I keep hearing about. I am against all forms of witchcraft and am convinced even the printing press was stealing people's souls and I will not physically interact with this evil "internet" sorcery.

I get all of the replies on my iPhone though.

That sounds like this ad I got through the post the other day, that I'm pretty sure is something stitched together with cut out bits of paper glued to a sheet of A4, with extra stuff written on, and a list of gold/silver/antiques they got printed on a dot matrix printer in the 90s, then photocopied millions of times so the hand-drawn border is literally wavy. It's kind of brilliant, if barely legible.

I've just gone online, and it seems like I could send you your very own knife for $10.27, with the cost of the knife itself $2.26, the total cost would be $12.53 or 7.53 GBP. The only caveat would be that I could only send said knife after I come back from Japan, unless you want me to send it from there, in which case I'm not sure how the shipping would be, or if Parskey would be willing to meet me in Japan I could give it to him and then he could bring it back to the UK the next time he comes.

It's also available in several colours.

On the topic of tech witchcraft,

My boss told me a story once, about when he was learning telecoms back in the day (1970's) :

There was a young black man on the course with him, who asked the instructor* how a particular part of multiplexing worked.

The instructor pointed his cane at him and proudly boasted: " Don't worry son, that is white mans magic! "

 :dread:

It's a virtuous circle in that the sins pay for the pensions.
