(In the end, the games I played were Deus Ex, Painkiller, Kerbal Space Program & Half-Life. I reckon I could put together an hour(ish)'s 'highlights' for each and have it be reasonably entertaining to watch, so I'm hoping to do that.)

I had fun! It was by far the longest gaming session I've had in about 4 years or so - I really struggle to remember the last time I played for more than even a couple hours in one go - and it really highlighted how difficult it is to find time for the hobby once you're 'a grown up' as it were. I think I'll have to try and improve my work-life balance a little bit in the near future.

And I didn't get my t-shirt but if I get it this week I'll take a photo of myself wearing it. :)

We are so close to hitting 2k :)

I've ordered the Uncharted collection failing it arriving I will be playing Broken Age on PS4 via YouTube along with some Destiny.

Definitely. The most I tend to play at a time is a few hours. So it's nice to get a massive session in once a year. :D

Got mine through yesterday. Need to try it on actually.

Yeah. We are £12 away from having £2000 registered on the site. I haven't added any of my offline donations yet though, so I can confirm that we are over that already. :toot:

I'll definitely have to pull out of this. I have a stag on Saturday and me changing jobs means I wasn't able to buy some of the kit I needed.

Good luck all though!

Sorry to hear that man. There's always next year! :D

If I had a net connection that could do the graphics justice I'd be all over PS4 stuff this year. As it is I'm sticking with retro looking stuff that should still look ok at the reduced resolution I'm having to stream at.

I'm on mass social media and Facebook Promotion now !!

I have tweeted loads of people in the gaming industry, had the Video Gamer shout out and I have also posted on the UK IGN group who last year donated :)

I even asked Just Eat for some grub but they declined as they only sponsor their own charity.

I've reglobalised the thread Devlin made for this over on SONM - hopefully that'll grab a little more attention for everyone taking part.

Unfortunately I'm away for the entirety of this weekend (which is why I never got round to trying to set anything up myself), but it does look like I'm going to miss out on a load of cool stuff!

Go for it, mate! :)

The Edinburgh Evening News has a story about the whole event in today's paper. I did name drop GRcade, but they didn't include anything in the finished article.

Also, re the picture, I'll just say that it had been a long day, both kids were really tired and they just wanted to go back to playing their games...bless them :)

Excellent.

What I'm more confused by is Mario Maker on the Gamepad, but it's clearly Mario Kart on the TV! What witchcraft is this?

Ah, a magician never reveals his tricks! :)

The screen in the background is my PC monitor, I have that Mario Kart 8 shot as my wallpaper.

The picture was taken in the kitchen which is near the living room, which is where the Wii U is kept. So the pad was close enough to pick up the signal from the console. The photographer wanted to have it showing something and she just happened to pick Mario Maker from the screen when she was setting the shot up.

Easy when you know how! ;)

I figured that's what it would be. :D

Anyway I'm off to bed now! I'll be starting at 7am, with the Stream going live at the same time. Hopefully there will be a minimum of technical hitches and it'll all go smoothly!

Good luck guys!
