Well guys we've done it!SlayerX has finally gone to bed after his 24 hour Uncharted session, making him the Last Of Us to finish up (Naughty Dog puns
)
Right now our JG page is sitting at £2145. Combined with Neil's (NBK) £589 that takes us to £2734, with more still to come.I just want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your contributions, even those of you who had to drop out due to work/life commitments. You all played a part in making this the biggest and most successful Sick Kids Save Point event GRcade has ever participated in.
When I'd originally decided that I was gonna do SKSP again this year I knew I wanted it to be a bigger deal than last years and it certainly was that. More participants, more money and a much higher profile on the forum.
So to make a few specific thank yous.
Karl and Gecko. Both of them have been amazingly supportive from when I first posted the Thread asking for discussions about an official GR charity event. I think this would have been far less successful if it hadn't been for their approval. Top lads.
Mocky, thank you so much for the wonderful Logo. Work of art.
NBK (Neil), again thanks for all your advice and input when it came to organising this. When things were really quiet and I thought it might not happen, you were the one who kept messaging with updates and stuff. You're the soul of SKSP on this forum man. Utter legend.
SlayerX(Shawn). Not even mentioning THAT donation, you've been fantastic in the promotion and awareness of this years event. Wouldn't have even a fraction of the success we've had without you.
Jawa, Roon, Orange Rakoon, and basically anyone that posted in the thread with support.
Anyone that joined the live stream chats for either myself or SlayerX. Made me feel so much better that we weren't just talking to ourselves.
Finally, to anyone that donated (I know a few of you made some VERY generous donations). I know NBK will want to thank you all himself (Which he can do later
), but you guys are the ones that made the difference here. None of this would have happened, or have had any point if it wasn't for you all. So thank you.
It was a long road, and an even longer marathon (Watch my Battlefront vid any you'll clearly see me nodding off while playing
) but we got there.
Thanks again guys, and here's hoping for a bigger, better next year!
