It defeats the object really. Unless the transport is a skateboard or bicycle or boat or horse or running. However if your plans will be so impinged by lack of transport that it makes the task undoable to the point you aren't even going to attempt it, I will allow leeway, as long as you still uphold the spirit of the task. But maybe you should ask yourself if blocking out transport is such a disabling factor or if your mind is closing off the possibilities for adventure.

I might have completed this task by accident, although I'm not sure. I went to Reading festival, which involved no computers, Xboxes, etc.

Does that count?

Did you use your phone?

And no, it doesn't really count I'm afraid. It needs to be a concerted effort to achieve this particular task. Not something done by accident.

I'll wait for the next task I think.

Out of interest though, would you still be able to use a car?

I tried it today, but failed :(

I woke up to pish weather so all my outdoor plans were ruined. I just ended up reading magazines, playing my acoustic guitar, doing weights, eating, reading some Web Design books and the like. Then I had to go and see my cousin who just had surgery, so had to go in a car to get there. Therefore failed, I wanna try again though next week when the weather's good.

I managed from 9am-4:30pm.

If it is a gas cooker, yes.

I strawberry floating did it. 8-)

Banjo's Day Off

Right, I usually wake up at around the 11am marker, so I can theoretically be at the half way line from the off.

I wake up at 8am.

Image

So, what to do? Well, in my mind there's only one thing to do when you're up early and have nothing to around the house for an hour...

NOSTALGIA TRIP!!!!

Found loads of old photos and basked in the warm memories. Some of them I hadn't seen in years, but could remember parts of the actual event. The only depressing part was the crushing realisation that my cutenes peaked when i was 3 and I'm now destined to be a shell of what could have been utter gorgeousness.

Image

^Banjo, age about 3.

Where do you go after old photos? It's quite obvious really, the attic!

Image

Found some old stuff up there I thought was gone, and again there were more fond memories. The best clearly being some old school books and the scaletrix set.

Image
Image

Fun times, but now I'm getting bored in the house, time for a wander. Unfortunately I neglected to take many pictures while I was out as I'd plain forgotten, but it was a lovely and refreshing walk, which again ate up about 2 hours. Lovely stuff. One thing I did snap however, was this advertisement.

Image

I'm easily amused.

Now, I had to have a book to read, books are a great way of whittling time whilst still enjoying yourself. So while on my walk I purchased a book and two games (I did not play the games though, and paid by cash, so I haven't failed the task)

Image
Image

Man, that book is a great timesink, spent a good few hours and got to about page 100 before I realised how much of it I was reading. Time for a break. What to do? How about a bit of practice?

Image

I'm doing well. Even went for a walk with my dad and the dog, another pleasureable experience. But it's nearing 7pm now, what do I do? I saw that my phone has received a message but I can't answer it, bollocks. Got to find something else to do. I fancy a bit of variety, so I call for a friend. He lives next door, so no need to ring in advance. I get there, and he's there with another friend, who asks "Did you get my text? We're going to the pub now".

Jackpot.

Pub ahoy! I've wrangled my way into a social scenario that doesn't involve technology (albeit from the tv in the background which I avoided like the plague) and found an excellent timesink. Maaaaaaaaaaaaany drinks later, we have to leave as it's 12am.

I did it! I did it!

Naturally, my first instinct was to go straight home and post here, because I've got my priorities straight. But, I then decided to go to town with my friends and a friend of a friend who I'd just met. It's gone twelve, so I can go someplace with music. Joy.

Went to a few places, got massively hammered, ending snogging the friend of a friend and walking her home. She wasn't massively attractive but still quite so, and when you're in a drought like I am you'll damn near take anything that isn't walking blubber.

Get back to hers, kiss a bit more, little grope here and there, get told I'm a good kisser and that I have an impressive package. 8-) Stumble home, go on computer, upload photos (it's about 6am at this point), make this post, post gets deleted, I get angry, I go to bed, I wake up, feeling massively chuffed and pretty strawberry floating groovy, and you know what I have to say about this whole scenario?

Image

Peace.
