Thanks to Mockmaster for running the competition and keeping track of all the scores. Well done to all participants, Sykes and Falsey for being my closest competition and driving me through thos last 2 weeks.

I think my favourite task was the make a pizza task.

For a second there on that last page, I had dared to hope. I've gone from resigned acceptance of second place to first place being snatched off me by a last minute winner

And it was the kangaroo steak that won it - I had a chicken curry in my cupboard that I didn't eat because I'd made too much Caldo de Fideo and had to finish that off before I went away for the August bank holiday :(

Loving the deadline change though

Well done Banjo :D

P.P.S. Thanks to Zenigame for inspiring me to make this into a multi-task competition.

Thank you for going ahead with it and make it so much fun each week.

It's been great and I'm going to miss not having tasks each week.

Highlights (and lowlights):

- Getting in touch with a friend that I hadn't seen for sometime. Since doing so we've met up a few times and regulary exchange texts.
- Introducing the word "Mibs" to my everyday vocabulary now.
- Making a tower out of toilet roll. And then having to try and come up with a reason as to why I did that when my brother's girlfriend found me taking a photo of said tower.
- Free-running around the house.
- Giving me a reason to stay in my room for 24 hours during Cabin Fever. This was what finally made me play Mirror's Edge which I really liked.
- Seven Deadly Scenes.
- Designing a family crest
- Different Day
- Stalking
- Making my King Kong film.

Lowlights:

- Not having my laptop and having problems getting my phone-camera to work with the two laptops I was using at the time

Regrets: Not having money to buy balloons for the balloon animal task. Not having money to buy a pizza base for the pizza task.

Overall I enjoyed myself a lot. Hence my final score which I am very proud of. Kudos to Banjo and Dowbo. And special mention must go to Terrible Lizard. If you were here from the start I'd likely be in 4th place now. Thankfully you didn't show up until late in the game. :P

Best forum game ever. Make sure it runs again sometime.

Although I haven't taken part as much as I'd have wanted to (Saying I'd try certain tasks and failing to do so) I have always enjoyed reading what you came up with, and it has been brilliant. The amount of effort is honorable. Fine work Taskmaster. Fine work.

And I'm happy that out of all the spoons, I was Platinum. 8-)

Mockmaster wrote:Stupendous scenery there, White Rabbit. I was toying with visiting the Highlands (I assume it's the Highlands? Where specifically? You don't actually say exactly where it is you went) myself in December. I imagine conditions will be somewhat less forgiving than on your trip if I choose to go in the depths of winter. Nevertheless, some amazing photos and it only enthuses me more to sort out my trip. I particularly liked the magic steps in the forest, and the 'tairn', whatever that is. Quite a spot of luck that you ran into that dog and its owners, eh?

Anyway, Task GET!

The lake district, but I would love to visit the highlands (hopefully next year). I still can't work out how from leaving at 8am, the first photo I took at the start of the walk says it was 1pm...but anyway, take a look at this site: Click! The High stile group of fells is what we set out to do that day. There's some much better photos on that site too (better than from my cybershot phone) of the views from the different summits you pass over when at the top, I think my photo was from Red Pike (which on the way up stains all your hands and shoes red). Here's one of his photos:

as it shows the walk along the ridge that we did. The walk itself shouldn't take as long as it did us, only I found myself wanting to take it all in, and taking far too many photos (I think I have about 20 of the same view  ) but I couldn't help myself, so just make sure to always allow extra time than what is stated. And of course, the nightmare coming down also took longer than it should.

What's a tarn? I think I must have spelt it wrong, (I put an 'i' in it, that guy doesn't seem to) but it's just a sort of small lake..well pond I guess, on a fell, Haystacks has one at the top, here:

There was also one in my last photo, the really dark one.

He posts photos of all of his walks up all the fells and all over the lakes, it's a wonderful site, and I love his dogs too, look:

Unfortunately it wasn't him I met on the way down, instead I had to be grateful for the help of a very horrible and rude man... :( (the other 2 with him were alright) but nevermind that, it was a great day, and night.

And this game, for my small part in it, has been great too! Thankyou Mocky, this task business has been pretty cool. And, as a tribute, here's a little something some of you might remember:

He looked ill when he realised I'd posted it online. I took this as a compliment, as it must look at least a little like him, for him to be worried. It's a good test for future portraits.

The Lake District!

I'm now seriously considering going there as an alternative to the Highlands, based on that epic scenery. I need to see some epic scenery. I think I will stay in that small white house.

I have no mountain walking training though, so I'll perhaps play it safe with my walking routes.
