I'm afraid I've already clearly stated that rain cannot be counted as part of a water slide.

What the gooseberry fool?! Really!? This calls for drastic measures from me. Will using a bottle of water suffice?

Should have read the thread. I asked if rain counted way back at the start of the week. 8-)

Well this is exciting. Could Banjo's lead be under threat just hours before the deadline?

A bottle of water suffices.

The water MUST be pouring as you slide though.

I decided to postpone dinner. I have just legged it to and from a local park (5 minutes both ways), bottle of water in hand. Jumped the fence (well, awkwardly climbed it) into the slide area, sat at the top, placed bottle of water behind me, tipped it over, slid down. My arse is strawberry floating soaking.

I am sorry Terrible_Lizard, I did not know that rain wouldn't count. I have failed you, hopefully you will find your own personal way of accomplishing this task before the deadline. Good luck mate, I hope you pull it off.

The rest of my summary will be up soon.

Banjo: The Final Week

Easy

The Mirror

Positive
I'm sociable.
I am in reasonably good shape.
I aim to please others.
I am never ill.
I have a dynamite arse.

Negative
Can be too argumentative.
Sensitive skin, flares up easily.
No sense of surrounding, largely oblivious to most things.

Librarial
I went to Cardiff library, took the escalator to the first floor (the first floor to feature books), span in a circle, looking a right tit, and stopped pointing in the direction of Sci-Fi. Went towards the rack I was pointing at and reached for the first book on the shelf, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams. Score.

Medium

Slide

You Bet
Placed a £5 bet that those Twins will win X Factor. I have not watched a single episode of it, nor have heard them sing, but if they are going to sing Ghostbusters tomorrow then frankly they deserve to win.

Hard

A Day Away
Wednesday the 4th of November
I awoke early, at 8am. Proceeded to wash and get dressed and simply wander around town and visit my nan, that could soak up many more hours than you might expect. Let my house at 9 but forgot my camera. :fp: By the time I went back and retrieved it, I realised I would not be able to return home until 21:30, I accounted the extra time to my folly. Silly boy.

Anyway, wandered into Cardiff City Centre, straight for the library. Double up on Tasks, nice way to do it.

Image
Image

It's a lovely library, I do so like it in there. Anyway, after I had retrieved my book, I decided to hang around a little longer and simply do some reading, found an interesting book on the history of the Banjo in the 20th Century, a fascinating read. Before I knew it, it was noon! Best get my skates on.

I decided to pop into my university to return some videos I had on me, Fearless Hyena and City Lights. While in the uni library I glanced at the magazine rack that I'd heard mentioned but never investigated. It's simply a collection of magazines for people to read in the library. What did I find there?

Image

Another hour spent reading that, was wonderfully chuffed. So far I had spent most of my day reading, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing as the weather was getting gloomier by the second. However, I couldn't spend the day doing just that, it'd be worthless. Time to live up to my stereotype, time to hit the movies.

Image

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs in 3D. Was pleasantly surprised, the film was excellent. I was expecting a Shark Tale style affair, but was pleased to see how inventive and funny it was. Plus, Bruce Campbell voices the Mayor. Win. By now, it was approximately 4 in the afternoon, and I was getting hungry. I decided to skip going shopping, as I had a plan for later in the evening and didn't want to miss it. I walked roughly 2 miles to my nan's house, where I then went to the chip shop for both of us. I was going to take a picture of the meal but was so hungry that I scoffed it down before getting the chance. :fp:

A cousin of mine sytopped by, so I bantered with him for about an hour before departing to my next venture. Local Art Cinema this time, the Chapter Arts Center.

Image

As you can see, it was getting awfully dark now, thankfully I was heading inside and staying there for some time. The building itself is only recently fully re-opened, it underwent a massive project to glam it up and upgrade the facilities, the original buyilding was a school and had been the Arts Center since the early 70's, it was in need of a makeover. Looks well swish inside. But yes, the film.

Image

Magnificent movie, captivated me, which was remarkablke seeing as I was knackered and was bordering on falling asleep. But nope, the film was so damn good that I couldn't help but remain awake.

After leaving the cinema, I decided to hang around a bit longer and have a pint at the bar, I was rather parched and fancied a nice pint of Hobgoblin. Delicious. However, a problem. It was 20:45, and I still had until 21:30 before I could return home, and I didn't have my card on me to get any more money out to get another pint. What do I do?

Brainwave. Decide to give my mum a ring, stayed over hers for the night. She lives roughly an hours walk away from Chapter, by the time I got in it was 21:50, or thereabouts. Sat down, had some sushi, watched True Blood, remarked on the amount of reading I had done in the day, then settled down for bed. Early day the next day as I had to hand an essay in.

It was rather a nice Day Away. Unfortunately my camera's batteries were acting up and constantly asked to be replaced, so pictures could not be taken in abundance. Sometime it'd work, sometimes not. But still, lovely day.
