Stuff like this always surprises me, New York being roughly the same latitude as Lisbon is the one I always find interesting.

Yeah, it is really surprising just how far to the north the UK is. We look at the snow that they get in New York and southern Canada and it just seems wrong that they are to the south of us.

If the jet stream ever stops, we are so strawberry floated.

Go to the North or South Pole and just walk around it. You will then have been as far north, south, east and west as it is possible to be. 8-)

Nice.

From what i've seen of it on TV during the F1 coverage, it looks pretty neat.

If you stay inside the airport or on the airport grounds then I wouldn’t count it.

If you leave the airport, even if it’s only for an hour or two, then I would count it.

It's similar with a road trip. I don't count a place unless I have stepped foot outside the car. Just driving through doesn't count imo.

I went in 2012 just to go to the Eurovision final, it was the year “Euphoria” won, a song I still like now, we didn’t really explore Baku very much and stayed around the hotel and arena, I wasn’t sure how safe it was to walk around but where we did go was very nice and found the people we spoke to very friendly,

New York doesn't even get all that much snow compared to further inland, especially around the lakes

Looking to go away in September but not 100% sure where.

My girlfriend wants to go to Lisbon, but the fact everyone seems to be going there puts me off. Whenever a place is called "hip, with street art and markets" I'm a little bit cautious these days, as that seems to be all anywhere wants to be now. It's a good price though, just 70 euros return.

Anyone been to Morocco? I've wanted to go for a while but not sure how realistic and easy it is. I imagine it would either be Marrakesh or Fes. I'd love to visit the Sahara but it's probably a bit of a pain from Marrakesh.

Also thinking of Greece. Anyone been? Any particular islands?
