Welcome to phase one of the
GRCADE USTV AWARDS 10/11

(Covering September 1st 2010 to August 31st 2011)

Here's what you do. You vote for up to 5 shows/actors in each category, although please try not to vote for things you haven't seen just to fill out the 5 spaces. The order you place them in doesn't matter, remember you're only voting for what you want to be initially nominated, not what you want to win(but include them, too, obviously). If you can't think of 5 or don't want to include that many, it's fine, just leave them blank. And if you're unsure about whether someone is a lead actor or supporting, or whatever, don't worry, I'll put them in the correct places when I'm counting the votes.

The 5 most voted for in each category will make the final voting list in phase two.

Fill out the form in the box below and PM it to me. For the sake of keeping things a surprise DO NOT post it in this thread. I'll keep voting open for a week, or possibly less depending on how many votes I get.

PS: I'm claiming An Idiot Abroad is a USTV show because it was partly filmed in the Americas and I'm in charge so deal with it. For the purposes of these awards, Karl Pilkington is designated a comedic actor.

Here's a fairly comprehensive list of what's eligible to vote for, in case you've forgotten what was on this past year. New shows are in blue, cancelled shows are red and shows cancelled after one season are some kind of purple. If I missed a show which aired between September 1st 2010 to August 31st 2011 and you think it qualifies and want to nominate go right ahead and I'll make a judgement. Penn & Teller: Bullshit! didn't air this year but we were informed it was cancelled this year so that would qualify for saddest cancellation.

Despite its cancellation, Terriers was the best new show and it's not in the lists.

I'll get working on my nominations soon.

This is pretty much the only important TV awards ceremony he has a chance in unfortunately.

Rubicon started airing in August 2010 and finished October 2010 which means it is just about eligible.

So do things currently airing count for this year or not.

Oh and it seems stupid to do a nominations round to me

If you mean Entourage, Breaking Bad, Curb, Louie etc yes as they started between September 1st 2010 and August 31st. Anything which has been on TV between those dates is eligible.

Fair enough.

Louie is surely a comedy, not a dramedy? Oh, and it was Bored to Death Season 2.

Sorry, I'll stop now :shifty:

 Mori for doing it

Even more so than season 1, season 2 of Louie is more dramedy than comedy. That Halloween episode the other week was pretty creepy.

Even worse, for some reason I'd originally put that in green.

How about best episode as a category?

I considered it but I thought I'd get too many suggestions. If you want though, I'll add it to the form and we can drop it later if there's no clear front runners.

You may as well drop all the various actor/actress categories and just have best actor and best actress. At least that way the winner means something

You're probably right, it'd get too many suggestions and not many clear favourites.
