GRcade's 100 Games: 2014 Edition

Five years on from PP's GRcade 100, I think it's time for an updated list of GRcade's favourite games.

The idea is for people to PM me unordered lists of their 20 favourite games, with each game receiving 1 point per nomination. Once voting closes, the 100 games with the most points will be collated into a chronological list of the forum's favourite games.

Also, I'd like to encourage people to write a few words (50 to 100) on one, any or all of the games they nominate - so when the list is finished, we'll hopefully have 100 games with two or three quotes for each from across the forum.

(See below - once the list is finalised, I'll PM people who nominated the included games)

Voting will be open until 7th November 2014, which should be enough time for everyone to get their lists in.

Obviously people can discuss their lists in this topic, but please make sure you PM your list to me, otherwise it won't be counted. Also try to make sure that the list you do PM is your final decision.

Notes on voting / eligibility

Collections and compilations are ineligible
Separate sequels are counted as separate entries (e.g. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow is separate from X/Y)
FIFA, PES etc. will be grouped by console generation, with the most popular entry from each being chosen to represent it if necessary
Series with very similar / identical releases such as Football Manager and Tetris will be grouped together, with the most popular entry chosen if necessary
Remakes, remasters, re-releases, seasons, episodes and updates are grouped together with their original / main game
but Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3 & Knuckles are three separate games

Dead Rising?! Get tae bollocks.

Mate I strawberry floating memorised all the survivor locations and did a Transmissionary achievement run with no guide, is how into that game I got. It's flawed as strawberry float, don't get me wrong, but I still go back to it from time to time and have a run through.

Until TLoU it was the last game I really, properly loved.

My list will be identical to my one from the last time aside from Hotline Miami and Dark Souls.

I'm waiting for someone to vote for Viking.

I think the only new entries for me will be Journey and TLOU

As Jawa says, I'd be happy to write up to 100 words on anything I've picked that makes it into the top 100 - I don't really have the time to do it just now for all 20.
