Played around 70 of the 105, with the vast majority of unplayed games coming from the PlayStation and earlier consoles.

Was hoping for some 360 gaming inspiration but there's barely any to choose from! When I'm done with GTA 5 will get on picking up Red Dead.

:o There doesn't need to be another option if you're yet to play RDR, it's the best GTA game.

Things like this remind me of how console-centric this forum is. Where's the PC/Amiga games people!

PC gaming is hard/dead.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

PCs aren't for gaming.

I was really surprised at the lack of fighting games like Virtua Fighter 3, Tekken 3 and Soul Calibur. Other than that it's a really solid list. Can we have it extended to the 80s?

Also, can we have the Tomb Raider box art changed to this...

I think it's because of our origins...

(Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

There were a few communities built on the magazines that Future Publishing released in the UK. Edge had their own forum, PC Gamer had their own forum, and then pretty much the other magazines went to GamesRadar.

Then when the folk at Future decided to merge the UK and US GamesRadar forums (in favour of the US board and totally shafting us Brits) we decided to go solo

The thing is, if you start including computer games, you have to look at stuff like Zool and Shadow of the Beast.

And slowly you come to the horrible realisation that a lot - not all, but a lot - of computer games were.. well, kind of rubbish.

I mean, SWOS made it in. It's not like Amiga/PC games are unrecognised.

I am bumping this because it deserves some fresh discussion.

No Roller Coaster Tycoon makes me wonder if anyone on this fine forum has a soul.

I don't know, there are plenty of other games that weren't at all kind of rubbish.

Supercars II gooseberry fools all over any of the console top down racing games of the day...for that matter so does Super Skidmarks and any number of other games.

There might have been a lack of sidescrolling platformers and 2D fighting games that lived up to console efforts, but we had Civilization, Populous, Worms, Lemmings, Syndicate, Formula One Grand Prix (3D racing simulation on a 16bit machine!), Dune II, UFO: Enemy Unknown, Cannon Fodder, The Settlers, Another World, Monkey Island 1 & 2...to name but a few. Granted some of them came to console too, but most didn't really work very well on a pad and they were all vastly superior on none console formats.
