Maybe if you had voted for more than three shows Fawlty Towers wouldn't be below Scrubs. :?:

Explain to me how that would have worked?

So given seven more choices you wouldn't have voted for the show you think outrageously placed beneath another?

That's not what you said.

And I really didn't see the point in taking all the time to think of another 7 when the list would be complete shite anyway.

It's a more or less a very good list though tbh. Some shows obviously get their position by fanboy block voting (WWE), and others at outrage at the fact they got cancelled/were treated like gooseberry fool by the network. But all in all I don't have that much to complain at.

It got three votes but only six points. It actually finished 93rd.

Just a single point would have seen it replace E.R.

There's also a disturbing dominance of Drama/Comedy on that list, the only thing that doesn't fall into that (or a mix of) category is a soap for crying out loud.

Raw was the soap.

And MOTD didn't make the final list, but yes that would be an example of what I'm talking about.

Sure Drama, Comedy are the dominant categories but stuff like Top Gear, Have I Got News For You, Planet Earth, Walking with Dinosaurs, Question of Sport etc.

All are the kinds of things that should be making this list but I bet weren't even considered by 99% of people who voted. Yes I should have voted properly but still.

Great job, nice list. Predictable, but worthy number one, I was very glad that The Simpsons still sits firmly at the top of the rankings, and especially pleased to see Twin Peaks get such a high place.

Bravo.

And here's how last year's Top 50 fared.

Gained Places
Peep Show - 29 places
The West Wing - 27 places
Blackadder - 24 places
The Shield - 24 places
House - 20 places
Six Feet Under - 18 places
Life On Mars - 15 places
Spooks - 13 places
Farscape - 12 places
The Wire - 11 places
Deadwood - 9 places
Spaced - 9 places
The X Files - 9 places
Star Trek: The Next Generation - 8 places
Band of Brothers - 7 places
Arrested Development - 5 places
WWE Raw - 4 places
Firefly - 2 places
The Office (UK) - 2 places
Weeds - 2 places
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - 1 place

Dropped Places
Babylon 5 - 61 places
Angel - 58 places
Stargate SG-1 - 56 places
The Apprentice - 52 places
Heroes - 45 places
Supernatural - 38 places
Prison Break - 34 places
Friends - 24 places
Red Dwarf - 21 places
Family Guy - 20 places
Doctor Who - 16 places
Fawlty Towers - 14 places
South Park - 13 places
Dexter - 12 places
Seinfeld - 11 places
Scrubs - 10 places
Battlestar Galactica - 5 places
My Name Is Earl - 5 places
Curb Your Enthusiasm - 4 places
ER - 3 places
24 - 1 place
Father Ted - 1 place
Futurama - 1 place
Lost - 1 place
Oz – 1 place
The Sopranos - 1 place

The Simpsons stayed in the same position and there wasn't a single vote for either Malcolm in the Middle or Top Gear.

Heroes and Prison Break were the real losers here, both in the top ten a year ago and both fallen way way down the table.
