PostGRcade's favourite E3 trailers...OF ALL TIME!
by Garth » Sun Jun 14, 2015 1:12 am

We'll no doubt be bombarded with new trailers next week, but let's take a moment to get even more hyped for E3 2015 and look back at each of our favourite E3 trailers...OF ALL TIME! :toot:

The Halo 3 announcement trailer from E3 2006 is still one of my faves - intriguing, epic scenes and a perfect piece of music from Marty O'Donnell:

With seemingly everything broadcast well ahead of time nowadays, by leakers or by intent, it feels like we'll never have another Nintendo E3 2004 surprise. :(

Another E3 thread where my answer is pretty much the same as yours Garth

The brilliant music was a big part of why I liked the trailer so much. At the time I remember being wowed by the graphics, especially when Bungie insisted that it was genuine in game stuff (or it may have been in engine they said..).

I know it's not strictly a trailer, but another E3 video I really enjoyed watching was E3 2003 demonstration Bungie did for Halo 2.

This sold me the original Xbox

Rushed out and got a crystal Xbox with Halo 1 and played the hell out of it until Halo 2 launched, to this day my favourite online experience. Shame Halo 4 killed it for me :(

Nintendos main stuff rarely gets leaked. The Smash Bros stuff is for the Smash Direct today and it got leaked as they put the files in the game early. Believe. Captain Falcon will zoom across the screen on Tuesday screaming YES! and then a sick F-Zero trailer will start.

Dat trailer :datass: my first real interest in E3. That trailer still gives me goosebumps  that gets my vote.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Unequivocally this. I remember watching it concurrently for about 10 minutes, my girlfriend pottering around in the background thoroughly mystified by the whole thing.

Compare that to now where Halo's just another dull franchise to be mined until dry. Ho hum.
