Yep, vetoing it still open.

Did my two nominations make it?

Why is there so much indie trash on this list? Were they joke nominations? These games are in some sense impressive when you consider they're made by bleary-eyed hippies from their college dorm rooms, but they aren't good.

Veto:
Duskers
Enter the Gungeon
Frog Fractions
FTL
Hyper Light Drifter
Invisible Inc
Mark of the Ninja
Plants vs Zombies
Prison Architect (it was crowdfunded and looks like a Newgrounds flash game so it counts as indie trash)
Risk of Rain
Shovel Knight
Slitherlink (I don't know if this is 'indie' but it's an Android game :dread: )
Spelunky
To The Moon (touching, yes; one of the best games of all time, no)

I'll allow Kerbal Space Program and SpaceChem for now. SUPERHOT also gets a pass because it's probably good in VR. I'm not going to be mean about The Talos Principle because I remember it was compared to Portal at the time and that's a high accolade, but I'm still a little suspicious of it.

See, this is why people shouldn't be allowed to veto games they haven't played. It's this kind of uninformed opinion that led to Brexit.

OK, OK, there was a DS version as well. Maybe it shouldn't be strictly included in my indie cull. But it's just a pen-and-paper puzzle game like a sudoku. It violates the spirit of the question. It's not 'really' a videogame, you know?

(This will wind him up a bit. )

This is all just revenge for vetoing 100% Orange Juice, the greatest digital board game of all time.

Come for the puzzles, stay for the engaging philosophical debates and questions it poses to you as a player. It is better than portal in every way.

For me the DS game is the best puzzle-game I've ever played, bar none. It lends itself far better to a videogame than Sudoku as well.

None of the other versions I've ever played have lived up to the DS version which is a dream to control and play.

Shame on you Karl.

(Seriously, you should play it on an emulator, it's strawberry floating god-tier)

I don't think a single game is going to survive this.

A limit on vetoes really should have been imposed from the start, and yes, I realise this is somewhat hypocritical given how many games I've personally vetoed.

It is done

(Shout out to Dan for making this annoyingly hard by revetoing games he had already vetoed so I had to go back through the thread to find out which to dismiss :x )

88 games remain

53 are one vote away from removal
25 are two votes away
Only 10 games have not been veto'd at all - although not all of them are new entries

I'm giving it until Sunday night for any more veto votes, and then we'll see what remains.
