I loved the Crash Zone section in Burnout 2, and I didn't feel this part worked as well in 3. I played the Crash part *way* more than the racing part, so it was a big deal for me.

Brilliant series, though... right through to, and including, Revenge.

2 had the better track designs, its also the 'purest' Burnout experience, when the whole point of the game was to avoid the other cars stylishly rather than barge into them.

Oddly enough, I preferred the Crash Mode in Takedown, but Point of Impact definitely offers the best racing experience.

Big Surf Shores.

I did yeah, I just never got around to doing the post to make it look fancy. It takes up a lot of time which I don't really have at the moment unfortunately. If anyone else wants to do it i'm happy to send the results over so it can be posted up sooner?

Joer, would it be possible to just post the final chart? No need to worry about adding pics or game details, I know that takes a lot of time. It'd be great to the final GRcade Xbox Classic chart :-).

Yeah, I'll get it posted up when I'm next on the PC. I've just not had any time at all since to add in the pictures and links that I'd do for the other consoles so far.

loads of great Xbox memories!

Thanks to Joer for kicking off the vote and to those folk who took the time to vote for their favourite Xbox games. Each person could choose up to twenty games, with twenty points awarded for their top title down to a single point for their final choice. Not everyone selected a full twenty games. Where games achieved equal points, they were then ranked by the number of times the game was voted for.

So... GRcade has spoken and now it's the final countdown. Let's power-up the Xbox!

15) Jade Empire 67 points

A terrific RPG from the Star Wars Knights of the Republic stable.

14) Psychonauts 69 points

The game didn't make a sales splash but it was a jewel for those who got into it, providing strange and brilliant gameplay.

13) Conker Live & Reloaded 70 points

The N64 classic emerged in enhanced form on the N64 - minus some of the sweary bits but still including the hilarious gameplay.

12) Project Gotham Racing 2 91 points

This game expanded upon the original to deliver a stunning arcade racing experience.

11) Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath 111 points

It never quite gained he audience that it merited, but this game was a gem for those who picked it up.

10) Panzer Dragoon Orta 122 points

Sega's legendary dragon saga arrived on the Xbox in this amazing 3D shooter that delivered such a great experience.

09) Fable 123 points

08) Half-Life 2 126 points

A classic game arrived in surprisingly decent style on the Xbox. The impossible made possible!

07) Ninja Gaiden128 points

Reactions and violent fighting melded together to deliver an amazing test of videogaming skills.

06) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 141 points

RPG and arcade aspects combined with the beloved Star Wars franchise to deliver a memorable game.

05) Burnout 3: Takedown 145 points

Burnout 2 and 3 were both racing and smashing classics; the tremendous presentation combined with addictive gameplay made for must-have racing titles for Xbox fans.

04) Out Run 2 154 points

The game that many people thought would never gain a sequel emerged in the arcade and then arrived in magnificent style on consoles.

03) Jet Set Radio Future 175 points

"Understand, understand.... understand, understand... understand, understand the concept of love!". Sega worked its magic in reviving the Dreamcast original for a memorable Xbox episode.

02) Halo 2 214 points

The game that many people identified as being their first online console gaming experience powers into second spot.

01) Halo: Combat Evolved 279 points

The original Halo that launched alongside the console has been chosen as GRcade's number one Xbox game. It demonstrated the power and the potential of the new machine as well creating the base for a hugely popular franchise. The atmospheric graphics and sound teamed up with excellent gameplay to make a strong reason for picking up Microsoft's powerful new machine. Congratulations, Master Chief!

And 16 to 50.

There's plenty more Xbox classics in these slots as well as a few unexpected additions. No GTA game made the top 15; pretty amazing as the games were excellent on the machine. The Splinter Cell franchise has three entries and it's perhaps surprising it didn't rate higher.

Good spot, Danta, but all is above board:

San Andreas was just pipped on this basis. All three GTAs were terrific on the Xbox, though. That Vice City music; and on the Xbox version you could (can) add in your own soundtracks from CD, too. Just brilliant!

At the time the console was derided for being square and heavy, but I actually like the look of it. I think the crystal edition was probably the looker of the UK releases, but I do admire the translucent green one.

Has any GRcader got some of the alternative colours that were released outside of the UK? The Japanese "smoke grey" edition looked amazing!
