What is GRecommends?

A place where people of the forum can go and see what other people of the forum think we should play. A place free of conflict, a place where we all come together to form the ~~ultimate list~~ ~~ultilist~~ GREATEST LISTS OF ALL TIME.

Each thread will be open for two weeks, there will be no more than two threads at a time as to not clog up the forum and people will vote for their Top 20 games for the console the thread is about.

Voting

All you need to do is make a list, in order, of the twenty games you think people should play on each console, and the higher up on your list the game is, the more points it receives. It would be helpful if you put the points in brackets next to the game, but it isn't necessary. If you do not put points, then I will award them myself based on the order of your list, so remember to put your favourite games first.

Example:

If you have a multi-platform game you want to vote for, go ahead, and vote for it on any other consoles you played it on too. I know i'm going to vote for Tony Hawks 2 on N64, Dreamcast and GBA. :lol:

If you vote for some obscure game that a fool like me probably hasn't even heard of, please put a link to it on Wikipedia/somewhere else too.

Optional: I plan to make the thread in the end as fancy as ever, links to videos, places to buy and so on, so if you like, you can include a small review of a game that could end up being mentioned in the final thread. No more than 200 characters as to not waste your time if they're not picked.

Didn't Powerstone 2 come out on the DC? I recall that being way better.

The original is recognized as being the better 'purer' fighting game, but I had much more fun with the sequel, especially with the addition of a four player mode. Better than Smash Bros in my opinion.

I never had Power Stone 2 myself. The DC was the only console where I'd ever pirated games yet I still only played about ten games apparently. I've got one again now with proper games and I still only have about five games for it. I still haven't played Shenmue either which I know is probably bad, although I've never owned it either to be fair.

Shenmue 1 is a must, particularly as it is exclusive to the Dreamcast - a slow adventure compared to the sequel, but a little more immersive because of it too.

Sonic Adventure 1 is great, although I never did complete it! May replay the Gamecube version on the Wii and try and complete it some day or even purchase the PSN version.

Jet Set Radio is great, but the PSN Version is better, but unfortunately retains the poor controls and camera, which do spoil the enjoyment a little, but the music is top notch!

I remember getting MSR on launch day at HMV Brent Cross and getting the free watch with it.

Ah, brilliant console that has been surpassed since, and one I have packed away, probably forever now. I used to bring the console out every year for a month or so, but haven't done that in a few years and a lot of the games have been rereleased on other consoles.

Would absolutely love to do Shenmue 1 and 2 again, but hope it is remade, or at least a digital version is released to avoid those awful loading times!

Remember seeing early screenshots in C&VG Magazine and it looked decent for its time. Never did buy or play it. Is there a decent Dreamcast Emulator about?
