I didn't realise that about the box. I just know the cart says Gameboy and not gameboy colour.

Had to look this up because I'm always confused. I believe the cartridge looks like a GB cartridge because it is backwards compatible:

Am I right in thinking that:
Grey cartridges were original GB (so black and white on the GBC)
Black cartridges were colour (so black and white on the original GB)
Clear cartridges ONLY worked on the GBC
And for this particular vote it's only black and clear cartridges that count?

That’s all pretty much spot-on, Dan. Worth noting that the GBC could play original GB games in colour, though - a selection of pre-defined colour templates could be chosen by the user.
I haven’t played on my GBC for ages... this is tempting me to dig it out!

. I must confess that I have a few GBCs; my original one (blue) plus three others (another blue together with two yellow ones) that I picked up cheap about ten years ago when they were unfashionable. I have managed to keep them in their original boxes.

These are the only GBC games I've ever played and only one of which I've actually owned.
Wario Land II (owned, only played on classic GB)
Tetris DX (emulator)

Plus one for me, great game, definitely put the most of my GBC hours into it. It’s the only exclusive GBC I remember playing, except for WWF betrayal which was god awful. All other titles I enjoyed were ports, like Zelda DX, Mario Deluxe, Street Fighter Alpha and Donkey Kong country. Oh Forgot about Conkers pocket tails, I got it after I played bad fur day so I was a little disappointed in its cutesyness, I’m sure it was good though seeing it was Rare in their glory days.

Looking at this list it's interesting that the GameBoy got one of the best 2D Zelda games (plus some great follow up Zelda's in the Oracle games) yet Nintendo's other major franchises (Mario in particular) never made the transition to the portable quite so well.
