Not many platforms left to go now, so next up is Sega's answer to the Game Boy, the Game Gear.



If you need a reminder (and frankly, who doesn't?), here's a list of Game Gear games for you.

Just list your top 10 below – if you can (each counts for one vote, so ranking them isn't important).

Also, TV Tuner doesn't count as a game (even if it was the best bit of the Game Gear)

Oh man, I was going to put the TV Tuner in my list as well!

I adored my Game Gear as a kid, one of my absolute favourite memories was playing Sonic 2 on the Game Gear over Christmas '92 - I think I actually spent most of my time led underneath the Christmas tree playing my Game Gear in amongst the lights!

Going to have a look over the list of released games before submitting my list as I know there's a few I've forgotten about.

Can't think of a 10th

I only owned a Game Gear for a month or so; buying a second-hand machine and then selling it on (for a reason I can't remember now).

Very limited memories of using the system so I can't vote for much... but I clearly remember my favourite game!

1) Super Kick-Off (US Gold)

Never had a Gamegear and never played one.

I remember being slightly amazed that it was essentially a handheld Master System though - something I only realised after reading that the MS converter you could get for it didn't contain any additional hardware.

I saw one once in the playing field. It seemed massive next to my Gameboy classic.

I saw a sega nomad in a bar in Japan which literally takes MD carts.

But most of the games seem like megadrive ports, something Nintendo got right. Pokémon, Mario games etc were exclusive versions. I actually owned a megadrive, I never had a SNES or NES, just a Gameboy until I got my N64.

Funny, more of my friends and classmates had Game Gears than Game Boys (it was all about that colour screen, you see). I was one of the few with a Game Boy.

I definitely think there are a couple of games that I have forgotten about, but here is my list:
