Twin Snakes was far better than the PS1 original.

Was quite disappointed that they didn't include the VR missions as a bonus though.

I've never played Twin Snakes, but MGS is one of my favourite games ever, and I can't see how the addition of first person aiming (and the tranquilliser gun?) could make it anything other than a worse game. The original game wasn't designed with that in mind so unless there were more changes I'm unaware of I can't see how it would work. Also I've only ever heard bad things about the cutscenes.

I'd like to play it myself one day to see exactly how the additions from MGS2 affect it.

First person makes it easier which you will probably think is bad. Tranquiliser lets you do a full no kill run which is great.

Yeah I don't think it needs to be made any easier, apart from some of the boss fights on Extreme difficulty it wasn't a particularly difficult game.

Paper Mario absent from a few lists - would I be right in assuming it's unplayed, rather than unloved?

I've never played any paper mario game except Super Paper Mario (which was a good game)

That's a solid strawberry floating list, Mario Kart Double Dash aside.

Double Dash being on that list is a travesty.

Must have missed this one. Good overall list but c'mon Double Dash? Second worst Mario Kart and overall bad game.
