This month we’re looking for the top 10 games for Nintendo’s secret best platform, the Nintendo DS.

If you need a reminder, here’s a list of Nintendo DS games

Just list your top 10 below (each counts for one vote, so ranking them isn't important).

Voting is open for a month, and will close on 27 January.

As always, I look forward to seeing your nominations.

Man, Celer, you're really rockin' it with the GRecommends series! I think this could be a wonderfully interesting category as the DS had such a huge variety of excellent titles. I will do a spot of research and then return to share my ten favourites :-).

Definitely, I think the DS has the strongest line-up of all Nintendo platforms in terms of depth and variety.

I didn't include the SNES remakes of Dragon Quest V, Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy IV :(

Honourable mention must go to Scurge Hive (basically isometric Metroid), Geometry Wars Galaxies, Ouendan, Tetris DS, Kirby Canvas Curse, Pac Pix, Kirby Mass Attack and Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon.

The DS had such a great library of games, probably my favourite handheld (very closely followed by the PSP).

That's about it. The above are amazing games though!

  1. Ace Attorney Investigations 2
    Anyone who enjoys Ace Attorney games should definitely play this. It's like the whole first trilogy, with a better pay off than Trials and Tribulations, wrapped into one game. :wub:

    I've only picked one game from each series to keep my list varied.

I do own more than 6 DS games, but I'd not rate the others as particularly worthy of note. Still, my PSP collection is about 4-5 times as large as my DS'!

(Same goes for Vita and 3DS too... sorry jawa :P)
