Nearly made my list too, as did Super Off-Road.

Avon rockin' the 8 and 16 bit classics  .

Supersprint is a good call. I also enjoyed the similar-styled Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Off Road Racing. Oooh... and I've just remembered Super Skidmarks on the Amiga. Time to update my list again!

Yeah, the N64 version didn't get too much focus at the time of release, probably because it arrived five years (!) after the PlayStation version... but it is a really good take on the series.

I really enjoyed it. It's the only 'realistic' racer I've ever played a good deal of and gotten rather good at.

By realistic do you mean 'has cars in'/'is not a kart racer'? It's a great series but is arcade through and through.

In no order:

Mario Kart: Double Dash (GC)
Mario Kart 8 (Wii U)
Driver (PS1)
Crazy Taxi (PS2)
Snowboard Kids (N64)
Hydro Thunder (N64)
Test Drive Unlimited (360)
Burnout 3 (PS2)
Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
Crash Team Racing (PS1)

Yeah, not really into 'serious' racers. honourable mentions to F Zero X, Simpsons Road Rage and a couple of the PS1 Micro Machines.

Eh?

The SNES version is called Super Mario Kart, and was released in 1992.

The N64 version is called Mario Kart 64 and was released in 1997.

I loved the N64 version of Ridge Racer. Not having a Playstation, it was the only version I ever played and the best realistic racing game for the N64.

It had incredible graphics and played very well.
