In my choice I didn't e ven consider the variety of great download only indies the WiiU had, something completely missing from the WiiU. I maintain, that if Switch is a success, then WiiU will come to be seen not as an abject failure but as a stepping stone. Nintendo, I think, given that they hold all the cards, understood this only too well and that is why it is has been so poorly supported. Still, if you can put together a list of 20 WiiU games worth playing, which is an absolute piece of piss to do with the Wii, then good luck!
Like I said personally although I did manage it there seems to be quite a lot of filler in some of these top 10's for Wii, let alone a top 20.
As for 20 games worth playing on Wii U, that's easy...
1. Super Mario 3D World
2. Super Mario Maker
3. New Super Mario Bros U
4. Mario Kart 8
6. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
7. The Wonderful 101
8. Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush
9. Bayonetta 2
10. Pikmin 3
11. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
13. Zombi U
14. Xenoblade Chronicles X
15. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
16. Lego City Undercover
17. Paper Mario Color Splash
18. Rayman Legends
19. Star Fox Zero
20. New Super Luigi U
And not a Zelda (or Donkey Kong Country) amongst them.
EDIT - Just to be clear I'm not 100% sure on that order, but those are all worth playing
