This month we’re looking for the top 10 games for Microsoft's debut in the home console market, the original Xbox.

Image

If you need a reminder, here’s a list of Xbox games

Just list your top 10 below (each counts for one vote, so ranking them isn't important).

Voting is open for a month, and will close on 24 March.

As always, I look forward to seeing your nominations.

A console I never owned but sampled via Backwards compatibility on the 360. In hindsight it had an amazing list of games. There are still loads that I haven't played and really need to.

Ninja Gaiden Black
Crimson Skies
Rally Sport Challenge
Rally Sport Challenge 2
Black
Psychonauts
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
Doom 3
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Halo

I didn't buy a huge amount of Xbox games so probably can't do ten. But of the ones I played, these were stunning.

Project Gotham Racing 2
Oddworld Strangers Wrath
Jade Empire
Morrowind GOTY edition (or whatever it was called)

Its a shame that original Xbox emulation is non-existent - i'd love to play Otogi, Ninja Gaiden and maybe even Steel Battalion (somehow) at 3 times the resolution with full anti-aliasing.

As for Outrun I played 2006 Coast2Coast on PC more than anything.

You missed out then because despite the fact it didn't include the SP stages, it was a better game than Coast2Coast.

The single player and unlocks not in C2C made OutRun 2 amazing, unfortunately you need an original Xbox to play it (another reason it should be on this list in particular).

Apart from the list I posted I can't really think of any other Xbox games I liked that much, I already had a PS2 and Gamecube when I got one so it was only Xbox exclusives I tended to buy for it.

I've also never particularly enjoyed FPSs so that's quite a few 'big' Xbox games that I simply had no interest in playing.

Looking at my top games submission from last time around, I think my view has changed a bit on some of them! So, my ten favourite original Xbox games are now...

01) Burnout 2: Point Of Impact
02) Grand Theft Auto III
03) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
04) Star Wars Jedi Knight II
05) Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
06) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
07) Beyond Good and Evil
08) Jet Set Radio Future
09) Halo
10) The Warriors

I'm kinda surprised to see the two GTA titles feature so high in my list. But I did play a fair few missions in III and I loved mucking about in that city; whilst the music and atmosphere in Vice City was just brilliant. I'm disappointed not to include Morrowind, Rogue Trooper and Spider-man 2 but I just didn't play enough of them to mark them up here.

"I'm excited!" to see the results for this machine :toot: .

Although I'm sure I played it and I clearly remember the original Dark Forces, I have no real memory of playing any of the Jedi Knight games.

Was it good on Xbox?
