Spent about 40 mins after calling Meryl for the first time and trying to get the Socom suppressor. I made the mistake of going up the ladder in the loading bay area and as soon as I did I remembered that coming back down would reset the enemies, which would be fine if it didn't stick you in front of a camera and guard on a noisy walkway :x

Finally got out though and now I'm in the Area with the snow just outside the tank bit.

The viewpoint is infuriatingly restrictive at times!

The alert sound really gooseberry fools me up at times, completely forgot about the lasers north of the tank room :fp:

Um, how does one beat Raven again? I can avoid the mines, do I have to lure him into them?

Edit: Had that mo fo :datass:

Not at all, most of us are taking it slowly so people don't get left behind.

Going to start this tonight. I'll be playing on my PC using ePSXe. Might grab some screenshots when playing too.

Don't you have a PS3?

Yeah, do PS1 games work on the PS3?

Didn't think the PS3 was that backward compatible.

They certainly do. It was only the PS2 compatibility that Sony ripped out.

Mind blown

I have easily 30 odd PS1 games that I've not been playing due to not knowing this :fp:

PSone games look great through HDMI, I usually play with smoothing turned off too :shifty:

:fp: it always amazes me that people don't know this, it's like people that don't know wiis can play GameCube games!

Anyway, Cyborg Ninja and Psycho Mantis down. The grabbing mechanic is really pissing me off now, sometimes I grab someone silently and other times I get a ! and shot to pieces doing the same thing.

They look better without smoothing, same goes for playing them on Vita.

I'd forgotten about that bit, caught me off guard for a second.

I love the Fortune telling stuff, taking the piss out of how many times I've died and been spotted, but congratulating me on saving often. And the moving the controller bit is actually better than the first time round as its wireless and skipped across my table

Apprently these video settings are good for most games when using the epsxe emulator. I'm using them and mgs is running more or less nicely.

Started this on PS1 emulator, just got the level 2 card.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Only got to the DARPA chief last night but I shall get a lot further today. I love how they bob their heads about when talking.

Played up to meeting the DARPA chief last night.

Captured some screenshots while playing too so I've uploaded a few of them. They're spoilered because they're large and haven't been resized. Aside from the pixellated textures the game doesn't look too bad.
