Yeah getting behind him was a bit of a pain in the arse, as was aiming in the second part. He didn't have much stamina though.

I've not had much chance to play this recently; my weekend was spent working, coupled with the fact that Fallout 3 has completely taken over my life (such a good game), it's hard to find time to squeeze this in. I'll get cracking on with this tonight.

I managed some game time this evening, playing my way up to Dark-Ice Mines. Arwing sections still suck, and the backtracking is a bit of a pain (strawberry floating latern/bomb spores :x ).

I bagged a few Staff upgrades, Scarab and BafomDad bags, and bought every map from the Thorntail Store, Fox's Hi-Def scope thing and Tricky's Ball. Basically, everthing from the store except for the Snowhorn item.

I'm starting to get into it a bit more, and I'm remembering more and more about it as I play.

More tomorrow.

Exactly where I've just got up to. Done a bit of Dark-Ice, just got to the bit where you get to ride on top of the mammoth(?).

Spellstone 1 get!
I made my way back to Thorntail and saved for the night.

I couldn't remember much about Dark-Ice Mines so that was quite fun to play through, though carrying that keg of explosives up the ramp was a right pain in the ass. There was actually a fair amount of gameplay to get the first Spellstone; I can't remember if it's like that through the whole game. I was reading some old topics on the Star Fox GameFaqs forums last night and one poster took 18 hours to finish the game. That's a fair length.

Anyway, I've had enough for the night. Like Herb said, no footie tomorrow, so I should get a fair amount played then, and try and catch up with some folks.

Delivered the Stone and met a Spirit, seems like it's going to be a fairly long chapter.

I'm enjoying the Slippy hint system, means you can just breeze through without worrying about getting stuck and the fact that nothing really hurts you makes it very easy to enjoy.

Done the first stone. :shifty:

:fp:

I promise I'll start this, but I'll play both chapters at once.

I keep getting distracted by real life stuff. Can't be helped.

Up to Cloudrunner Fortress and still really enjoying it.

I have to say though I am slightly curious as to who built all this lovely architecture when none of the animals of this planet seem to have hands let alone opposable thumbs.

Hows everyone else doing, Dalagonash is you recording/blog thing still happening, has staydead started yet? WKD you were the other person to be playing along have you got to the second spellstone yet? What about Parksey, The Master and co waiting for their copies.

I'm going to get started on this tomorrow, just got everything organized again after le holiday. Unfortunately I'm then going to be going on another holiday next week, so I'll have to either play ahead or play catch up again.

Sorry captain, but it's unlikely that I'll be taking any further part. I can't really justify buying it after giving away my previous copy not so long ago, and to be honest I have too many other games on the go at the moment that I'd rather be playing. :(

Yeah, I'm still playing along, it's just Fallout 3 has me literally hooked just now. I'll get caught up in a few days.

I just delivered the second Krazoa Spirt to the temple and am due to head to Cape Claw. However, I don't think I'm gonna stick with this game... as it's complete dog-shit.
Really, I'm not enjoying myself playing this; the level design is actually pretty terrible, combat is gooseberry fool and I just get frustrated while playing, knowing I could be playing a game I actually want to play.

I'm in the same boat.

I am currently only up to the end bit of Dark Ice Mines, but I am struggling to motivate myself to go further. I am not devoting much time to playing any game at the moment, so it's a bit of a pain when I stick this on - a mediocre game I have already completed. The game is just so tepid - often full of fetch quests, boring combat and linear paths.

It's not all bad though. The game's idea had potential - and even forcing the Starfox crew in works - and it still looks quite lovely. Especially when the sun rises in the snow sections. I'll stick with it a little longer. It's alright to play with music blasting out and not particularly paying attention to what's going on on-screen.
