GRplayde - Deus Ex - WHAT SHOULD WE PLAY NEXT? SUGGESTIONS!

And I really should just give Deus Ex another go...after getting new laptop I've forgotten about it and just play TF2, L4D and Fallout.... :fp:

I like the idea of Eternal Darkness, Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, Wind Waker and Baldur's Gate. Not sure about Metroid Prime - it might be worth saving that for when the New Play Control trilogy is out.

It's got my vote. I'll probably end up playing it regardless because the revelation that Mew is in fact catchable has given me the bug. Plus, it suits the style of this thing perfectly. You could separate it by badges or something and people that do it early can just spend time levelling up.

Yeah, well, I'm still playing through Deus Ex, so yarblockos to the rest of you. Fallen a bit behind, spent most of last week exploring Hong Kong - doing a bit of swimming, a bit diving, a bit of this and a bit of that, so I'm only now heading off to Maggie Chow's place. I'll need the checkpoint for this week, somebody please tell me what I can and cannot do.

I'd be happy with Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow as the next game. When would it start, though? It wouldn't be fair on those still playing Deus Ex if we were to start playing another game right away.

The problem is that a lot of people have finished early so the thread is dying on its arse anyway. Plus we don't even know when anyone still playing will finish, as people aren't using the weekly checkpoints. With PM, we knew that after so many weeks, those who wanted to finish would be at the end, and could then select the next game.

This thread won't go though, even if we move onto another game. I'm still playing Deus Ex anyway.

As for Pokemon, I wouldn't be totally adverse to play it, even if it is not my first choice. I've got some great memories of the original game and, even though Leaf Green was a nostalgia trip, it wasn't monochrome enough to replace the original in my heart. The Christmas period just before I got Pokemon (on Xmas Day 1999) was quite a bad one for my family due to various happenings, but thanks to that little handheld wonder, Christmas Week still managed to be magical. I loved that game and it picked me right up.

But, I have played about 8 different Pokemon games since then, so I'm opting for either KOTOR, Wind Waker or Eternal Darkness.

I'd go for PDZ, if only so I could finally complete co-op on Perfect Agent. Deception and I only needed to do the Bridge level and we'd got five levels done on Dark Agent too. I didn't mind the SP, even if it was ridiculously hard and old-school after FPS revolutions such as Halo. It was better with a partner and on the harder difficulties though, as you started to memorise the levels and approaches.

PDZ would be better for a multiplayer reappraisal though.

Sheep, Dog and Wolf (PC/PS1)

Half Life (PC)
Halo (PC/XBOX/360)
Kingdom Hearts (PS2/GBA)

A few of those may be difficult to get (legally), but I'd love to go through them.

I'm not that keen on pokemon, as I wouldn't want to OD before the gold/silver remakes.

If you guys like Deus Ex, then Vampire Bloodlines should be an instant winner. It runs pretty fine nowadays and is on steam for fifteen quid.

Bonuses include it not being a ****** japanese rpg.

You know you want to delve into this game. If the purpose of GRplayde is to broaden the range of games that every gamer worth their salt should have played but haven't then Bloodlol is a good choice.

I tried playing it a few years back. Quite interesting but the 1 hour + loading screens between each area killed my soul.

I already played it a month or so ago

I realised it's strawberry floating Quake with Nazi skins. The guns may be different but goddamn it's so fast paced.

I vote Return to castle lolfenstein.
