Why don't we combine Oxx's idea of a all-in Zelda playde and the general dispute over exactly which title to play, by either:

*Going through the entire series in order (a hefty task)
*Or merely the 3D ones in order

Personally, I'd prefer to play Majora/Wind Waker > TP > Ocarina, but would gladly play through all four. I'd need to high-tail it home to get Ocarina and Wind Waker though, whereas I could start MM and TP right away.

It is the Wii version of Twilight Princess - I may see if I can borrow my friend's GC copy.

Shall we start a vote to choose between playing through all the Zelda games, just the 3D ones or just one game for Christmas and then go from there?

It's blatently going to be Spirit Tracks over Christmas though. (I'll get it on the 14th though, birthdays FTW)

I'll be going through ALTTP over Christmas as well, maybe either OOT, MM or TP too.

I like this idea of a general Zelda playde. No doubt someone will attempt to play all of them (if I can get ahold of copies then I most definitely will give it a crack) but having a nice variety of classics to choose means the amount of people who would sign up for this will be substantially larger.

If I could get hold ofr a Gamecube version of Twilight Princess, I'd attempt to play all of them (excepting the CD-i ones).

Indeed he is. I was going to buy it off him but saw it cheaper in a Gamestation. So it's still up for grabs.

It might be a bit hard to keep track of all the games if we have a free for all, so if we do go down that it might be worth having one 'main' playde thread for people to sign up and say what game(s) they'd be playing. Once that's done we can use the OP as a hub with links to separate threads for each game (unless people feel that would clutter up the forum too much).

The main GRplayde thread should stay in GGC, but individual threads could go in Retro Gaming to liven up the place.

That sounds like a good idea. Shall we start a thread for people to sign up in (or use this one). We'd need them to tell us what game(s) they're going to be playing as well. I'd make it but there's no way I'll have enough time to keep the OP updated. Once that's done we can have people making threads in Retro Gaming for each game and put in a list of checkpoints and players into the respective OP.

Surely the whole point of the Playde is that we're playing the same game at the same time?

Time of course, being one of the main components that makes Majoras Mask wonderful.

Yeah, I don't think we should expand this so it's simply about playing any Zelda title you'd like - it'll be too much like that Big Fat Zelda thread otherwise.

Also, you just know that the dumpy, bespectacled unpopular kid will pick Zelda II and have no one to talk to.

How about we get a vote going between the four 3D Zeldas, giving everyone two votes?

It'd be good to have a Twilight Princess GRplayde at some point, just to give me some incentive to finish the darn thing
