The Twitch Thread - GRcade is Twitching or maybe YouTubing

Just a few things I want to bring up and talk about.
1. The Schedule
Ok so this is the current schedule. I've taken out streams that either never happened (Rock Band) or have seemingly stopped (Smash Bros). The Are You A Master Mario Maker streams will be ending in the next few weeks as well so I've marked them in red.
Can everyone look at this and let me know if you have any problems sticking to this schedule.
In addition can Qikz and Chaos let me know what times they want to take so that we can have scheduled Starcraft and Hearthstone slots.
The Schedule
2. Non-Twitch Content
Going forward I'm looking at continuing my weeknight Mario Maker streams for the time being, but I'm beginning to look more at other forms of content that we can populate Youtube with. I think we've got the streaming fairly well established with enough people who know what they're doing with it. I will continue to stream as well, but my focus will be more on Youtube content.
Initially I'm thinking a live Podcast thingy once a week/fortnight (Prob Saturdays) where I'll host and we get a few of us together to discuss whatever gooseberry fool has went on during the week. But I'm still figuring out format, details and stuff. I'll talk more about this once there's more to say.
3. Twitch Guidelines
I've been in touch with Gecko about this and I'm just waiting to hear back from him on it. Basically I'm looking to have a set of basic guidelines for streaming to the GRcade channel, with the aim of creating some consistency across the breadth of content we produce. There's nothing horrible or draconian in them (I won't force you to use an overlay ) and I'll be submitting them for discussion once Gecko has weighed in, but as more people start to take part I think we need to have some groundrules.
That's it really.
I think we've gotten off to a good start these past couple of months and settled into a nice rhythm. Now we just need to consolidate that and look to what's coming next. Now obviously we need to keep the schedule fresh. The more new games we can stream as and when they come out the better so if there's anything on the horizon that you want to do on stream just say so and we can work out when to slot that in.
Thanks guys!
Cheeky Devlin wrote:Hi guys. Well I've been liasing with Gecko and he's signed off on the following guidelines.
Going forward we ask that anyone streaming to the GRcade channel adheres to these.
Twitch GuidelinesWhen streaming to the GRcade Twitch channel we ask that you follow the guidelines below.
- GRcade Logo & Branding
Your stream should include the GRcade logo at a minimum. This can be integrated into an overlay or positioned in one of the corners as either a full image or a semi-transparent watermark. The logo should be either the standard, non-reflective logo*, or in the case of specific streams (E.g Mario Maker) it can be a special logo.
- Voice
You should talk as part of your stream. This can be commentary on the game, interaction with viewers or whatever you like. Please do not be silent.
For multiplayer based streams (Mario Kart, Battlefront, Driveclub etc) you don't need to be commentating on the gameplay as long as there is voice chat between the participants (Mumble, Party Chat etc). Where possible include a mumble overlay so viewers know who is speaking.
- Intro/Outro
You should introduce yourself and the forum on the stream.
At the end of each stream you should thank the viewers for joining in and let them know what is coming up over the next couple of days.
- Unscheduled Streams
There are plenty of occassions where you may wish to stream when nothing else is scheduled. This is absolutely fine, and is indeed encouraged. In these cases you should announce the stream in the general Twitch Thread. Scheduled streams take priority however. You should have ended your own stream at least five minutes prior to the start of the next scheduled stream to allow the streamer time to update Twitch.
- Console Streams
These are exempt from the Logo & Branding guidelines as there is currently no way to include overlay images on console generated streams. All other guidelines should be adhered to.

If there's anything there that you disagree with, or anything you think we're missing can you let me know in the thread and we can discuss any amendments you would all like to make.
In addition I will be looking at chatbot options over the course of the next week or so with an eye to implement one before the Mario Maker final next Saturday.
Finally, Herbi/Kinopio has been made an Editor of the Twitch channel and is now able to Host/Unhost himself. Can we all get in the habit of checking that there are no hosted streams on the channel before we begin our own. Remember and type /unhost into the chat to stop it if there is.
Thanks Guys!
EDIT: Oh and I'll be revamping the OP in the next couple of days with up to date schedule stuff, guidelines and other bits of information.

Surprised there's not a thread for this already.
Does anyone here do this regularly? I've done it once or twice for a little while and have found it fun but am not sure if it's worth persevering with as I have no idea how you would go about getting a decent amount of followers.
Will probably stick with doing it on Sunday evenings for a little while and see if I can get above a dozen followers.
Anyone on GRcade have any suggestions to make an enjoyable stream, or come to think of it anybody watch certain streams regularly?
The only people I watch live are the GameTrailers crew as they have a semi-decent schedule and I know the personalities now. Not sure what would make a random gamer playing compelling unless it was for a game you don't have but we're interested in, or you were looking to learn some skills.
Anyway rambling aside, tune in above and let me know what you think. Schedule tonight is The Last of Us for the next half hour then Driveclub before Rocket League at 11
