There has to be something starring Mario, so far I can't think of anything that's been rumoured.

There's Mario Maker. That looks like it's getting a big push.

Ah of course, would be a bit underwhelming if it was the only Mario focused game though.

As intrigued I am with Mario Maker, it's just not enough. I lack the imagination, patience and time to make my own levels. :shifty:

I agree but it's getting the Best Buy demo spot, which I *think* Smash Bros had last year, and Mario 3D World the year before. That may signify Nintendo's intentions.

Let's not forget originally the plan was for Zelda to be the big Q4 title this year. With Xenoblade and Starfox supporting it, a more understated Mario title in the Autumn, like Mario Maker probably makes sense in that context.

That's for next year.

Thats exactly why they should do it this year, no-one is expecting it.

And it would be completely pointless if they have nothing to show for it. Which is probably the case right now.

Then we would all get stupidly hyped for something we wont see again for probably another year and then maybe even another year after that. :toot: From a business standpoint I think it would be daft to as it would only put people off getting a Wii U. Just as its become profitable.

I say wait till they have something meaningful to show.

The longer NX has to cook the better. Winning E3 is a fairly meaningless thing in the grand scheme of things. Plus they've already got Paper Mario U for that anyway.

It's the best Wii add on I ever bought.

The next 3D Mario will be a NX title I'd have thought. Ready for launch if they have any sense.

Nintendo has confirmed that its E3 presentation will be focusing on the Wii U and the 3DS; there won't be any details shared on NX, mobile gaming or Quality of Life. I'm happy with that - it'll be good to see what treats are coming for the current machines.

But, yeah, I agree that Nintendo is no doubt working behind the scenes on games for the launch of the NX. It has to be, with the lengthy development times nowdays.

That wouldn't really excite me after the awfulness that was Sticker Star.

I don't know what game you mean. We've only ever had two Paper Mario games. :shifty:
