We are now a little under 2 months away from the biggest video game event of the year. The hype train has well and truly departed and we are on the road to E3 2015! Personally, I think Nintendo's showing this year is the most interesting as people believe that the Wii U is now being fazed out in prep for NX.

I want to know what everyone thinks Nintendo will showcase at there digital event this year and what future holds for Wii U and 3DS. To those who think this maybe a bit early to post such a topic, many outlets have already begun discussing the big event, IGN's NVC have also posted there predictions (see below)

My predictions for the event (these were mine before watching the above)

* Animal Crossing Wii U - I think this is bound to be an Xmas 2015 game alongside Starfox.
* Starfox Wii U will contain online multiplayer
* Retro's new game is shown for Wii U and is not DKC or Metroid - I predict a new IP from the team
* New Metroid for Wii U is shown and will not be in the 'Prime' style - TPS could be possible
* Super Mario Sunshine remastered for Wii U
* New season of Mario Kart 8 DLC
* A New 3DS exclusive game will be shown and it is not a remake but a new game for existing an IP
* The basis of the new online/Club Nintendo system will be shown

That's all I got for now, what does everyone else predict?

I predict that at one point during the presentation nobody will have any idea what is going on or what exactly is being presented.

Can't see Retro being there to be honest. Starfox online multiplayer and new Mario Kart DLC aren't bad shouts for unexpected surprises though.

I'll call Metroid in some shape or form, Dread or a sequel to Other M.
Lots of talk on apps and Nintendo going mobile
Starfox shown extensively but it looks a little disappointing, has the stink of Miyamoto all over it
Advance Wars on WiiU or Batallion Wars sequel possibly as an eShop title
An incredible looking Zelda trailer, confirmation it will be coming to WiiU in 2016

Advance Wars Wii U with online features would be brilliant

The stink of Miyamoto, bloody hell.

Can someone post the IGN predictions so I don't have to listen to that podcast?

I was just thinking yesterday it's only two months to E3 and I haven't seen a single thread, not even one from Peter Crisp.

I must admit I'm a bit confounded by Nintendo, and am not really sure what to expect. There was an unorthodox delivery to last years Nintendo show at E3, and with the likes of Splatoon, we saw a side to Nintendo we hadn't seen for such a long time, but it's disappointing they still don't seem to have gained a lot of traction with the WiiU. I'm also very sad to see sequels to Layton and Fantasy Life heading for mobile releases rather than 3DS releases, which makes me slightly apprehensive about the showing for the 3DS at E3 too. I'll still endlessly be waiting for Dragon Quest VII too.

I reckon they'll announce an up-rezzed F-Zero GX as a Virtual Console game, without adding anything new like online multiplayer or new content. If they do add some stuff to it that'd be great, but I don't think they want to split the already small userbase between it and Mario Kart, which seems to be turning into F-Zero with themed courses and faster modes, but doesn't limit them to a single IP.

If it's not out by then I expect they'll mention something about the Wii U version of Project Cars, which is apparently still coming but hasn't been shown much. If they announced Nintendo-themed extra content for it - Mario Kart-themed skins or the like, that would be a nice touch.

Other than that I expect more about Xenoblade X, plenty of 3DS-only weeb trash, more free to play rubbish and mountains of amiibos.

I know, imagine having the stink of one of the most respected video game designers of all time all over it, what a terrible thing.

I was convinced we'd see Retro's next game, until they said they'd only be showing games for 2015, and I was also pretty sure we'd see Animal Crossing U until the mobile announcement. They'd make so much more from Animal Crossing on mobile.

What can they announce for Christmas? It would have to be a fairly small game to get turned around in such a short time as a reaction to the Zelda delay. I think they'll probably just hold Xenoblade back until Q4 to go with Star Fox. Maybe Pikmin 4? Another 2D Mario? With those series already being on the Wii U, it probably wouldn't take them too long to get a sequel done.

The statement about E3 being all about 2015's games has sort of deflated my excitement for Nintendo at this year's show. I find their Directs at their most boring when showing us yet more footage of games they've already been showing off for ages.

Amiibo focused with a new handlheld reveal. Wii U is quietly left to die with some token focus on splatoon. Zelda shown behind closed doors and will eventually be bumped to NX.

All I care about is a Xenoblade Chronicles X release date for Europe. I want that confirmed. If it's 2016, I will be a little disappointed but I just want a date.

I'm finding it really hard to predict what Nintendo will show this year. I'm sure there will be a lot of surprises.

Since Miyamoto wants both a new 2D and Prime style Metroid, I'm going to guess that one will premier this year, and one next year.
