This is definitely one of the best episodes of the show. Bat's campaign against Martin is hilarious and its comedy contrasts well against the more serious nature of Lisa's story. Homer's role as a father is well presented as he helps all of his children without straying too far from his character.

The War of the Simpsons was a lot better than I was expecting it to be from what I remember. Bart's behaviour while Grampa was babysitting was hilarious!

I love this episode! There are so many great moments! I completely forgot about The Wonder Years bit so it was a great surprise when it came up. The telling of of Radioactive Man's origin is always great to see :D

And that's Season 2 done. Blood Feud is a great episode to finish on. It's a very strong season on its own but taken in context of what's to come it does come off as a little weak.

PostRe: GRwatched The Simpsons [03/09] S03E02: Mr. Lisa Goes to.
by Super Dragon 64 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 12:35 am

I just watched Mr. Lisa goes to Washington. It's one of my favourite episodes, mainly because it's based in Washington (thank you The West Wing) but it does have some great moments, especially from Homer. Another part that always stays in my mind is when Bart hits the piano singer with his slingshot at the end because he tells Lisa that she taught him to stand up for what he believes in.

I started with Season 3 on tuesday. Got a little ahead of myself last night, had 40 minutes to kill when cooking food so ended up watching Episode 3 AND 4.

Homer Defined is another good episode. When I was younger, I always wondered why Homer shied away from the commendations of his work, even when I saw the end of the episode  I always love how Bart immediately gets his BB gun when Marge tells him that he can play with Milhouse

A little bit behind but Bart the Murderer is definitely one of my favourite episodes.
