I think it should go somewhere unusual like the Capital of Switzerland, Bern. It would make it a completely new game and could maybe attract new players.

I understand that you must be excited about this PM business. I personally don't see the point so I'll just say that the next game should be set somewhere in South America.

Rockstar should grow a pair and do it in London (but call it Lindon or something). Put an Indian restaurant on every corner, everyone carries a knife, have the police do sod all, have the Michelin Man as mayor and have every other pedestrian wearing a Man.U shirt.

Ain't there like 5 people who don't own it anyway?

tbh the location does not really make the game, its down to gameplay value, sure it would be nice to see another london/uk game, but a european one would be nice as would one in zimbabwe, where you work as an "enforcer" for an evil dictator, in this case we will call bobby mcqueen, but it would get gooseberry fool canned due to racial profilling.

Could be like Just Cause but from the other P.O.V.

I think Rockstar will probably go with one of the 3 main cities as usual, and most likely Vice City to continue the pattern. Having said that, the last game before GTA4 was Vice City Stories, so they may want to skip straight on to San Andreas instead of releasing a SA Stories. Unless they have been planning that anyway as I don't know what they're doing.

Personally, I would like to see a brand new Vice City. But they would need to make it look lush, loads of palm trees, beaches, clubs etc. GTA4 was very gritty-business-grey-city like in look, but that's the way New York (LC) is.

I'd just love to go back to the no-resrictions style setup of San Andreas. I absolutely adored just casually roaming the vast countryside, climbing up mountains on a bike and then parachuting off the top. GTA4 felt way too restricted for me. Unless you were in the water, you were almost constantly surrounded by skyscrapers. And if you did crash-land a helicopter on top of a building you were stuck there. Unless you wanted to suicide jump of course!

One of the most beautiful things about SA was the natural feel of it. If you wanted to be in a city, you could. However, if you wanted to drive across a hick-town towards a glowing, warm sunset on the horizon, you could do that to.

I think maybe eventually GTA may go for a more international approach. Maybe they'll do continental games, where you could travel from perhaps Canada to North and South America, roaming through the dustbowls into the lust forest of Brazil, or perhaps a European one, where you have the variety of the meditteranean and the mountainous snow resorts of the Alps or previously mentioned Switzerland. Maybe even eventually a global one where you could fly all over the world, whether it be real or made up! (although hopefully flight time would not be in real-time!)

I personally do not want to see another Vice City, not just because it was my least favourite of the original 3D trilogy, but because I want something fresh, new and ambitious. Lord knows Rockstar can do it if they put their mind to it!

San Andreas was easily the worst of the previous trilogy. Its environments were boring, characters stale and soundtrack off-key.

Haha! I would absolutely love it to be London (being a Londoner myself). It could also be excellent from a gaming point of view as well (although not all the cops having guns might be a problem).

American cities have been done enough now I feel.

I can imagine it now: "Oi watchit blad!"

I'd imagine London being really dull. Make up a city/state. Carcer City gets my vote.

Obviously Europeans in general would like to see a UK-based game, but I'm happy with Vice City again so long as it's the late 80's.

I'd love to see rockstar set the next game in their (and my) home town of Edinburgh. The city is small enough for the to acuratly map the whole of the city centre in the game. Gameplay could include trainspotting-inspired druggies, festival thesps, and bus stops full of chavs!
