Thanks dude! Yeah, I think I realised the writing was on the wall for us last night when Colombia equalised  . I’ve really enjoyed the World Cup and there just hasn’t been enough time for both. Until next year guys, it’s been fun! Good luck with the solo stuff, i’ll be holding back all my easy points for next year’s push. I hope they keep the pairs format.

I think it's unlikely, they do tend to change things up every year to keep it fresh. There are rumblings that next year's contest might be based on TA difference (TA-GS) instead of pure TA score, to reduce easy game abuse. So something like Avatar would only score you seven points instead of 1007. Might make it interesting.

If that’s the case then i’m all for that. As much as I enjoyed this year’s contest I haven’t enjoyed ‘buying’ points in the shape of Neo Geo games to keep our heads above water when time was short. The pairs format with the amendment to ratio that you suggested sounds ideal to me but we’ll wait and see.

Feel like i’m at a bit of a loose end with my gaming just now after such prolonged intensive scoring. Should probably focus on completing some bigger games like Forza 5 finally before they turn off the community features.

My god that's a grind. And I think it's impossible 100% with DLC now as some of the cars can't be downloaded

Doing some of the multiplayer stuff was a lot more fun once the game went up on Games with Gold though, but I imagine community has rescinded again by now.

Reminds me though I need to sell that game.

I've no idea if I will take part next year, I said it's something I'd like to have a shot at, I am not sure I am enough of a committed achievement hunter to spend 6 months a year chasing points every year, and the Autumn line up this year looks a lot better than last year, but we will see what the format is etc in the winter

Right, off to add my 2000 bonus score on and contemplate scoring some points at some point somehow.

I’ve done all of the multiplayer stuff and the huge grind of levelling 8 manufacturers to level 25, I just need to get credits for use of my designs and tunes online which I think I can boost myself with a second profile but it’s so tedious and doesn’t update as you do it but overnight instead so you can’t be sure it’s working. Haven’t completed a ‘proper’ game for ages so i’ll consult YouTube for any time saving strategies. I’d be gutted if they turned off the servers having got all but three of the achievements!

I have Forza 5 sat on my dashboard totally unplayed. Think I might just uninstall it.

Sadly Manwell Pablo has been knocked out of Individual this week. Since it's just me left and I don't want this to become a one man blog, I'm gonna move the chat (what little is left) to the main Achievements thread. Was a good year chaps, see you next time. :-)

Good luck dude! Totally forgot it was Wednesday... spent the day toiling with the dishwasher rather than the Xbox. I have however managed to polish off all of the community achievements on Forza 5 so that’s 97 out of 98 with just a drift challenge achievement to go but it’s a proper trial and error grind so I think i’ll leave it for another day. Time for a beer ahead of the football :toot:
