Yes

Though you're probably looking at 150 runs (not escapes) if you want to see the entire story through, which IMO is well worth doing. Very satisfying.

I’ll definitely get 10 escapes out of the way, not sure about 150 runs at the moment yet though!

Well done 8-)

10 clears for the ending, the epilogue after that is much less involved and only really there to give a reason to keep playing if you want one.

Well I tried to clear it with the Sword so I could get more Titan blood to upgrade the shield, made it to Hades and died on the second stage, the boons I got weren’t anywhere near as good on that run as the one I cleared it on.

Not sure if clearing it with weapons I don’t enjoy as much is worth it just for a bit of titan blood though……

Edit, gone back to the Shield, I just find it so much more enjoyable to use. If there’s one very, very minor criticism so far, it’s that upgrade items for the weapons should be ever so slightly easier to come by, obviously it wouldn’t be hard to come by enough Titan Blood if you want to ramp the difficulty up via pacts but for folk like myself who don’t…. There seems to be a short supply when you can’t even fully upgrade one weapon with what’s on offer.

Edit, still not got another escape done

You only need to put one skull on to get more total blood.

I think "half measures" which makes mini bosses harder, or the first level of making the bosses harder doesn't actually make the game that much harder.

If you like the shield try playing again with one of those skills on with the shield!

Don’t you need to add a new option if you want to continue getting extra blood though? I’m going to have to stick with the shield though, hope there’s something not dissimilar from a defensive point of view in the sequel.

To get more Titan blood you need to beat a boss at a harder difficulty level than you have before, with a particular weapon.

You only need to choose 1 difficulty modifier at this stage to get more Titan blood (with the shield). Have a read of them and pick the easiest sounding one! You should give it a try at least, only need to beat Meg to get the Titan blood!

Try the one that makes minibosses harder. You might not even encounter a mini boss in the first level and then you'll get to Meg and get more Titan blood with nothing changing!

Well that should give me another 5 blood if I do it with each weapon at least, might look into that pact then!

Finally got my second escape out the way, it feels remarkable how powerful the boons are. Earlier with the shield, I thought I was in a decent place with 1 death defiance going into the final fight but I got battered! This time? Cleared it with all 3 intact still :datass: that means 8 more to go!

I can almost guarantee I’d have not beat Hades without God Mode, I’m always glad to see difficulty options, even more so these days where gaming time can sometimes be very limited.

Done :datass:

Well probably as done as I want to be with the game, reckon if I’d played this nearer launch I’d have been more willing to dip back in over time, increase my relationships with the gods, add more pacts (I did a few, got my shield to level 5 damage which helped massively) to the game to basically grind out more stuff, finish the upgrades to the house and so on. A truly superb game though, really glad I decided to go for it and give it a try. Some of the music is superb too, the music when you escape to Greece is wonderful.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I ever would, definitely going to be there on release date for Hades 2, whenever that comes to consoles.

3 clears on PS5 (30-40 attempts) but ALL of them were builds I chose on the fly. Meaning my previous go to build of trident / spread pattern + auto hit / deflects / beam have failed me over and over  (though I cannot recall of I've had a run where I've had it fully up and running with everything in place) But the real kicker is how one of my most hated gods, Poseidon, has utterly OP powers against bosses. And I can't believe my new go to weapon is a version of the bloody bow.

I found the opposite with Poseidon boons; unreal for clearing out rooms of enemies but not great against the bosses.

Just loaded this up after not playing for over a year. I couldn't remember how to play or what the controls were but somehow managed to get a clear first try 8-)

Does it tell you anywhere (on PS5) how many runs you've completed? I think I must be close to 10 now.

Yes!

You need to unlock it though.

Hall of records I think.

I really liked that relationship in this. They didn't make a big deal out of it. It simply was.

I don't expect my answers will be helpful but I've filled in the questionnaire. One of your mates, SoK?
