I ordered this from VideoGamesPlus - it has been shipped, I'm looking at my mailbox with baited breath...

Anyways, I guess most of you have heard of it. It's a self-referential RPG, an RPG that is a parody of RPGs at the same time, I guess a bit like 3D Dot Heroes (which I would love to play, but I don't have a PS3...)

I've had my eye on it for some time. I love the retro art style, I really like the idea of 'sped-up' RPG gameplay and now that it got quite good reviews, I decided to give it a shot.

So... Is anybody else playing this already? Getting this? Considering getting it? Interested in it at all?

I ordered it from HMV as it was quite cheap and sounded quirky, played the demo yesterday and loved it. Found it to be very funny, though I can see it being quite tricky at times. Perfect game for a portable console.

It's the first game I bought (on a disk) for the PSP since Silent Hill Origins, late 2007...

Should be playing the PAL version next week with any luck. Would have ordered the US version loads earlier but money troubles forbade me from doing so.

It's due here next week? I'm so out of the loop when it comes to release dates... Should keep a closer look on the "Friday Feeling" threads, I suppose...

Phew.

Had to do a double take there. Thought the missus had found out about my GR habit and was making topics about our sex life.

Anyways, in a (probably fruitless) attempt to get the discussion back on the PSP game Half Minute Heroes, here's the GameTrailers review:

Just played through the first few missions as Hero 30 (these are the RPG missions). For each mission, you have 30 seconds - there are a couple of things to make it easier for you though. They really are complete missions with towns, and in the towns the timer is paused. You can also turn back time by praying to a Goddess statue and paying money. A mission typically requires you to do that at least once. You can turn back time more often to grind for levelling up and money - but the Goddess of time is a bit of a greedy bitch, it will cost you more each time you do it.

Each mission is presented as if it was a whole game with a starting screen (with ever increasing pixellated Roman numbers) and a credit roll at the end.

So far it's been every bit as charming and humorous as I thought it would be. I can recommend this!

Yep mine came today too. Don't know why anyone would want to pay £10 more to have it on download.
