It never got boring, me and my mate must have played about 6 hours of it, when I went back to normal matchmaking it took me a few games to readjust to the play! I was getting absolutly anihalated at first.

Whats the strategy to get the multiple kill medals on griffball - spawn lurk/kill with the hammer?

Completely stuck on Crow's Nest - Gift with purchase. The part with all the Brutes. I can barely kill 4-5 before I get my ass handed to me. Any tips for this part or should I wait until I can get a co-op buddy to help me out?

Difficulty? When I did it on Heroic, I just stayed well well back chucked grenades over and with my Battle Rifle took shots at the brutes heads. If I remember rightly, to the sides there are extra grenades. The problem is obviously the Brute Chieftain, you just have to pepper him with everything you have got.

Try going straight ahead and grabbing a gravity lift (killing the first couple of brutes on the way), use it to get to the upper level and get to the one of the rooms on either side. If I remember correctly there's a stash of BRs in one and shotguns in the other, or both. Let the brutes at the top come to you and shotgun them in the face, falling back towards the start of the level if you need cover.

Don't get too close to the chieftain (obviously) - use the BR and grenades - and when he uses his invincibility, just run away until it wears off.

I'll try that thanks.

Meant to mention - playing on Legendary.

No problem - let me know if you need another player. I've always found it easiest on Legendary that way; there are plenty of places to take cover and recharge your shields. It's pretty straightforward, just try not to take all of the brutes on at the same time!

Hopefully I've got enough points to get Mythic tonight,so I'll be up for some games as well. Bit of a noob when it comes to co-op though but I'm up for it.

Will log back on around 7-8.

Practice and patience helps!

My main tactic is when the match starts hold back for a few seconds and progress towards their base, and if the team is a bit weak they will head towards you one by one, its all about timing and luck in all fairness, make your way and spawn kill whilst on an overkill

After Initally loving this online, then loveing CoD4, then back to this it was a little meh. But after about 2months now of CoD5, coming back to this is amazing. Its just perfect in every way and is backed by bungie who constantly strive to mix and match playlists and double XP weekends.

The official Bungie site and addition to this is mind blowing.

See ya's online tonight! :)

The Double XP Weekend this week is Zombie gametypes, with Mythic 'optional'. This means, if we get a good group together, there's a fair chance we can get in and get some of those Mythic achievements for Zombie kills (possible Killtacular too?)

Anyone up for it? Can we get 8 people, all with Mythic, together at some point this weekend?

Action Sack! New social playlist with no ranks and 0 EXP:

* Stab-Out (5.4%) - Swords only Team Slayer. Players have 3 lives. Four rounds to win. Two minute round time limit.
* Team Punchout (8.1%) - Beat down or assassinate your opponents. 25 points to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team Rockets (10.8%) - Team Slayer using only rockets. 50 points to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team Splasers (10.8%) - Spartan Lasers Only. 25 points to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team Fiesta (13.5%) - Team slayer, everyone spawns with random weapons. 25 kills to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* Tug of War (16.2%) - Gain points by killing players, but lose points by dying. 25 points to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* 2 Flag Shottys (10.8%) - Two flags, no shields, and shotguns for all. First team to three flags wins. 15 minute match time limit.
* Pit of Joy (10.8%) - The hill is unmoving. Players start with Energy Swords and 4x Overshields. 200 points to win. 12 minute match time limit.
* Team Sumo (2.7%) - Knock the other team out of the territory. 7 rounds. One minute round time limit.
* Run for Cover (2.7%) - The VIP must reach as many escort points as he can before time runs out. Four rounds to win. Three minute round time limit.
* Ninja Assault (8.1%) - One team defends the base while the other team's bomb carrier is fast and invisible. The team with the most detonations after four rounds wins. Four minute round time limit.

Tug of War and Ninja Assault are brilliant. Haven't played the other new gametypes yet but they all sound suitably silly.

Tug of War is a fantastic game mode I think. They really should do a ranked variant, same with Grifball - I really enjoy that. I managed to pick up the two zombie achievements the other day on the living dead playlist but killtacular and exterminator I'm finding to be a royal pain in the ass...

Not enjoying Action Sack so much I have to say. Lots of duffers, and it really worries me that this it the best Bungie could come up with at this stage in the game.
