For me Big Team Slayer is Halo 4 MP at its finest.

Ragnarok 4 - by 343 Industries.

Although I'm not an FPS fan I really enjoy Halo multiplayer because it is so easy to pick up play and get into (despite my being a rubbish shot) and fun stuff happens. But one thing I'm beginning to hate about the multiplayer is Ragnarok. Anytime it comes up for vote (which is at least 50% of the time) it is ALWAYS selected. It's a good level but now I'm sick of it. I don't understand what has happened because there wasn't this Ragnarok love in previous games. Maybe 343 have increased the odds of showing the map, or maybe new Halo gamers love it. But i'm hardly getting to play any other maps. I'm gonna start calling the game Ragnarok.

It's probably due to a combination of it being a map a lot of people are already familiar with and the Mantises. I wouldn't mind if they reduced the map voting options to 2.

I'm hoping 343 update the game options soon to remedy this. Maybe some single player slayer too!

Edit: Zanzibar is a good oldie. Also a lot of the Halo 3 maps were pretty decent. Makes me realise that I am now level 16 and haven't even played all the maps! When I get the chance I might go and explore them in single player.

Got this yesterday So I'll be up for some MP with you guys whenever. It's been a while since I played Halo online but this seems relatively familiar. Not too much change that I've noticed anyway. Did alright on Big Team Slayer or whatever it's called, but did gooseberry fool on a map where I didn't have a clue of the lay out Annoying that I was against people who were clearly more powerful than me, but oh well. I guess that's the modern FPS online so I'm gonna have to rank up ASAP to stand any form of chance as obviously matchmaking doesn't work.

Didn't like SWAT either. I remember liking it last time I played it but it seemed quite gooseberry fool. Maybe connection troubles though as people were killing me when I wasn't even in their line of sight.

Add the fact that most of the other large maps are garbage as well..

The one with the three bases is ok, Valhalla is still a great map.

Ranking is a bit of a non-issue in this game IMO - you rank up very quickly, everything is inexpensive and you'll have your main weapons/abilities of choice within a couple of sessions. You can also use the pre-existing loadouts to gain access to stuff you haven't bought for your first couple of matches. You can only unlock standard weapons for your custom loadouts remember, not power weapons. People at massively higher Spartan Ranks don't have massively better kit than you in their loadouts.

Have 343 said anything about fixing the grenades? They're so underpowered now that sticking a vehicle doesn't kill the driver.

I could be wrong, but it looks like it depends where the sticky grenade lands. If it's near the driver or the gunner, they'll die. If it's on the underside or away from them, they won't.

I usually just chuck the sticky grenade at the driver of the Ghost or the Warthog then do a casual jump over the top. Unfortunately I also usually get shot in the head as I'm attempting to walk away like a badass as the vehicle explodes.

Sticks on vehicles behave the same as they did in Reach. Even in 3 it wasn't an insta-kill, you'd usually need to go in an mop them up after the nade pops.

One of the Episode 3 Spops missions has 6 Mantises in play at once, I imagine it'd let you do 4v4 Mantises. I haven't checked though.

Is there anything in the game that tells you watch each MP mode is? There are loads of playlists but I don't know what most of them are. Obviously Slayer, BT slayer, CTF are clear but I have no idea about the rest
