Glowy deliberately spoiling the plot for himself by reading episode synopsis. :fp: I bet in that psychological experiment they do with kids where you can have a marshmallow now or 2 marshmallows in 5 minutes time he'd always go for option 1.

tbf, you shouldn't be doing that either. The season 2 finale ends with the ludicrous who actually survives cliffhanger.

Knowing who's in season 3 totally ruins it (and also ruins any other characters who may or may not be returning - thinking specifically of Freddie, depending on when during season 2 you looked it up).

In regards to the end credits;

Why;

did she go back to her house
why did she fly with him
why did she look terrified
why did she try to leave

When it looks clear she is horrified by him.

Also 3 episode into season 3 and its a bit meh :(

I think it's a poor season until about 4 episodes in, then it becomes incredible :datass:

You'll find the answers to the Scully questions if YOU WATCH IT as it'll tell you as the STORY unfolds ;)

:x

I was disappointed and horrified about the way S2 ended. When Bloom is standing there with her gunned hannibal, twin knives in hand is just launching himself at the door..

It's also fairly obvious why if you've watched any episode in season 2. You know all the stuff about how he is hyper manipulative and enamoring.

I liked the early episodes of season 3. They were weird and full of rich symbolism and excellent atmospheric music. I can see why they did it as well as they are trying to show the audience what its like being under Hannibals spell. If you don't care for it though season 3 starts picking up steam about 5 episodes in.

I got the season 1-3 blu-ray for Christmas and finished it last night and holy strawberry float it was good.

Yeah season 3 could be improved if the first two episodes were condensed to one, though I did like them. It does pick up massively though, is 3x04 the one with the great Hannibal/Jack rematch?

Well, its kicked up a notch hasn't it.

Question. The guy who ate his own face, which film is he in? And is this set before Silence of the lambs? Or have the tv show producers stolen the ideas for killing from the film, or the book?
Im a bit confused as to the timeline, if at all they fit in with the films, or are even meant to?

Mason Verger appears in the film Hannibal. The order of the books and films are Red Dragon > Silence of The Lambs > Hannibal but the show mixes it up. All of the stuff in season 3 with Hannibal in Italy and Mason Verger is from the film Hannibal and in the show Red Dragon is set after that. The show would have done some version of Silence of the Lambs but it got cancelled.

I don't see it happening now unfortunately. Apparently Amazon was interested in doing it but they would have wanted to start production immediately with the same showrunner and Bryan Fuller had already agreed to showrun American Gods for Showtime. IIRC he would have been unavailable for a year so Amazon said no.

Finished :(

Truly one of the best shows I ever watched. The ending was done well even though they had to leave "open" and the scene with scully :slol: :slol: :slol:

Brilliant brilliant stuff.

"This is all I ever wanted for you"

The red dragon plot was so well done, better than any of the films, imagine what silence of the lambs would have been like :x

Mason wad incredible in that season, had all the best lines :lol: CORDELL!

In our rewatch We've just had our first introduction to margot and seen the horse killings.
