Great episode.

The red dragon plot has been strawberry floating fantastic so far, the guy playing him has just knocked it out of the park every scene. Hannibal just smirking his way through each scene is brilliant.t

Those last 5 minutes were absolutely glorious.  :o

I find it assuring that that episode also works as a series finale if we never see a season 4. I'll be disappointed if we never see these characters again but I won't be devastated about it now after that ending. I strawberry floating love that Chilton is still alive somehow. The man is immortal. RE: The final scene; I thought for sure, for strawberry floating certain, that Hannibal and Will were going to kiss. That would have been amazing.

That post-credits scene, though.

Are we to believe that Hannibal is cooking Bedelia's leg or that she's doing it herself? Neither one would surprise me to be honest.

Please be a season 4 :(

Lmao that ending  :fp: Despite how hilariously melodramatic the last 15 seconds were, very much enjoyed the second two thirds of this season - gutted it's done now.

Do you reckon they reshot that once the show was cancelled or were they always intending on finishing the season with that cliff fall?

3x13- Not as good as the season 2 finale, but an extremely satisfying last episode for the show. Hannibal was on top form, I loved the delivery of his mic drop line.

Bedelia's an actual mental so if it is physically possible for you to amputate your own leg and prepare a meal which looks that nice with it, she totally did it herself. Chilton has survived worse.

This has improved so much over some of the previous episodes this season. It's gone back to being a drama instead of abstract gooseberry fool which made me go Huh? Such a shame to see it end.

This is clearly Hannibal's best suit.

He looks awesome is his transparent murder suit.

I'd consider serial killing if I thought I could potentially look that good.

Bedilia cooked the leg herself as a strawberry float you to Hannibal, you won't get me because I cooked myself ya weirdo.

Did they really jump off the cliff or was it just a symbolic gesture that was actually alluding to them bumming one another in a painful blood ridden mess?

I have faith that it will one day return. Maybe take a couple of years but it will adorn our screens once again.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

"Recovering the Mindset" intercuts the three different interpretations of Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon; Manhunter by Michael Mann, Red Dragon by Brett Ratner, and Hannibal by Bryan Fuller.

I've focussed on the scene where FBI profiler Will Graham visits the cannibal psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter ostensibly to ask for advice on a serial murder case but really to "recover the mindset" of a killer so he can catch this new one.

Most of the dialogue from the three adaptations come directly from the source novel so it was possible to seamlessly recreate the scene using the three productions.

I think it is a very interesting way to compare and contrast the different methods used by the filmmakers. Also, other than filmed works of Shakespeare, I can't think of another pop culture creation that has been interpreted so faithfully three separate times.
