The Bullring has been lit up green to celebrate the day.

So many examples of the most predictable reaction on Facebook:

does it go red on st georges day too , no i didnt think so ........

Can we have a George Cross for April 23 too

Didn't realise Birmingham had moved to Ireland . Best be red & white on St George's Day !

Bet it don't go red and white on St Georges day

WILL THEY TURN IT RED /WHITE FOR ST GEORGES I WONDER?

So much pashun!

Went to the city centre and had a nice dinner at a sushi place. Walked around for a bit and then home. St. Patrick's Day over.

So many queues to get into pubs all over the place. I'll never understand the fuss. Much rather stay at home.

Turned down the option to head out with a couple of girls who want to ride me so I can listen to my girlfriend complain about her laptop being slow. Should rename this day after me instead.
