FYI: Pete only recently found out I was Irish when he asked me if I was voting in the Brexit referendum and I kindly explained to him why I couldn't. I've been playing online games with him for 5 years.

Did he have you on mute for five years?

This.

My old workplace used to have all this gooseberry fool about quizzes on Ireland, "come into work dressed in green lolitssomuchfun!", Irish food in the restaurant, usual cliched crap. :dread: Glad my new place doesn't bother.

I'll be getting drunk tonight whilst playing crazy golf in some bar in east London. I have some Irish blood in me and I'm a ginger haired banana split so I should really be added to this poll.

On account of being not remotely Irish I'm going to call today by it's actual name... Friday and as such I will be spending it the same way I spend nearly every Friday, playing video games with a few beers.

In my defence he could quite easily have been born in England and only moved to Ireland for enough time to pick up an accent and then moved back again I've known plenty of people like that.
I also have a piss poor memory so he could have told me he was from Ireland about 50 times already and I'd just forgotten. I can't even remember the names of the people I work with every day so yeah, my memory isn't fantastic.

My definitive St. Patrick's Day to-do checklist:

- Have a lie in
- Don't go anywhere near the town
- No shamrocks
- Green attire optional
- Stay sober

This is pretty harsh for poor Jiggles. But to be fair I couldn't not vote for Peter Crisp

Genuinely had no idea Peter Crisp is Irish!

I always imagined him as a stereotypical polite English gentleman sort.

I've just realised all these years I've based his persona on his avatar.

Edit - I've just re-read the thread and can see it's a windup  :fp:

The Bullring has been lit up green to celebrate the day.

So many examples of the most predictable reaction on Facebook:

does it go red on st georges day too , no i didnt think so ........

Can we have a George Cross for April 23 too

Didn't realise Birmingham had moved to Ireland . Best be red & white on St George's Day !

Bet it don't go red and white on St Georges day

WILL THEY TURN IT RED /WHITE FOR ST GEORGES I WONDER?

So much pashun!
