Just started, but Kathy Burke's voice grates. Loved the burn on Ken on his introduction

You'd be a better mayor but Boris would be a better guest.

Sunday's edition with William Shatner was the funniest episode in years. Fantastic stuff.

It was hilariously surreal.

Andy Hamilton was easily the best part of it. Shatner was funniest when he couldn't pronounce people's names correctly, and Brooker didn't really say much at all.

It was a really good episode.

I particularly enjoyed the bit where Andrew Bell was mentioned (I think), good to see he's been productive after leaving GRcade. :shifty:

Episodes like that are always my least favourite, where the host just becomes the biggest running joke throughout the episode. Except when it was happening to Angus, obviously.

They keep doing it, too. Shatner, Bruce Forsythe, Brian Blessed, Boris Johnson back when he didn't have better things to be doing.

On the contrary, I love the stunt casting they do occasionally. Makes the episode a set-piece kinda event, rather than just a standard ep. Always seems like they make way more effort for them.

I can't believe they haven't had Brian Blessed back actually. Surely the rating'd go through the roof?

Well that was a difficult watch. On the one hand I hated every second that that sub-human sack of gooseberry fool Alistair Cambell presented. On the other hand Ian Hislop was on top form exposing said sack of gooseberry fool for being just what he is.

(Oh and Ross Noble is always strawberry floating funny.)

I really enjoyed that one. Hislop and Noble were excellent.

Yeah, me too. I preferred it to the Shatner episode and that was pretty funny.

Ooh, Alistair Campbell hosting? I know I criticised the last episode for having the host hog the focus, but in this case, it will at least be as the subject of relevant political satire. Will have to catch the repeat tomorrow, completely forgot it was on last night.
