I think there's 500 cashback on the 65 inch OLED LG TV so I might get that (if my tax refund is sufficiently enormous). Are there still concerns over OLED. Is it to do with Image burn?

As I recently discovered there is a risk of permanent screen burn if you are watching a lot of sport and news channels that have a lot of static images onscreen (see also HUDs in games) but it's usually through prolonged use so it depends on how long you spend watching TV each day - personally I only usually watch a couple of hours every day and watch a film on it every few days so it'll probably be fine for me.

I'm currently in the process of returning/replacing my 55 inch one though as it arrived with a line of stuck pixels but that's just something all LCD/LED panels can suffer from, especially given how thin they are now (there's a disconcerting amount of flexibility when you lift mine out of the box).

If you want an OLED and can wait 6 months then I'd recommend picking up the newer sets next year, it's still a bit early for OLED, more so for the larger screens. If you need a TV now though then go for it.

Yeah. That's what I reckon. It's a little more than i'd planned on spending initially but it's pretty awesome so I thought why not.

If you buy any of the OLED screens at the moment (Sony, LG and even Philips) you're guaranteed the best picture quality available. There's nothing to worry about on that front.

It is, although I feel the 65 inch model is a little bit excessive. the 55 inch is plenty big enough IMO.

I'm not a massive fan of the stand however, it leaves very little room for my soundbar even when pushed all the way back on the TV unit.

...and it even has four HDMI sockets; the minimum that any TV over 22 inches should have today. I am still amazed that many screens only have two or, at a push, three.

Another thing to note about the 4 HDMI ports on the LG OLED's, they all support HDR inputs.

You might not think thats something worth mentioning in 2017, but apparently all Sony TVs (including the really expensive ones) still only support HDR on 2 of their HDMI ports.

Need to do some measuring up as 65” might actually be too big.
It’s a grand less for the 55” one.

Worth also checking out the C7, it's basically the same telly but with a slightly different (and in my opinion, nicer) design. Unfortunately it's exclusive to Curry's in the UK.

It's slightly more expensive than the B7 at the moment, but the price has been fluctuating a fair bit.

Which in and of itself is a reason not to buy it.

Having said that, I did see someone (I think on Hotukdeals, so perhaps take it with a pinch of salt) say that they'd seen the C7 in Richer Sounds, they just can't advertise the fact they have it.
