4K on Netflix is mind blowing

But planet earth on 4KHD is Just strawberry floating incredible. I’m honestly agog!

It’s bloody enormous as well.

So happy right now!

Glad you're enjoying it Denny. I assume you're going to hook up a PS4 pro at some point? Try out Unacharted Lost Legacy, it is spectacular. I actually called my girlfriend in to have a look at a section when you climb up a ladder and a starry sky is slowly revealed, she called me a sad twat but did say it looked "nice" which is high praise indeed!

The absolute best looking game I've played on the PRO so far is the witness. On the upscaled 60fps with HDR rather than the 4k native 30fps - it just looks like a painting in motion , beautiful, Better looking that lost legacy imo.

So going to sort out all the wires and organise my Tv stand later. Got one HDMI lead coming then I’ll have my soundbar, pro, switch and 4K blu ray player hooked up to the TV.
Got Deepwater Horizon, dark knight and inception en route on Ultra HD.

That’s me set for a while I think. Other than Blade Runner.

Was going to get Blade Runner 2049 but I'm not paying 35 strawberry floating quid for the UHD version.

Edit: just found it for a much more reasonable £22.49 (after 10% off code) at zoom.co.uk, never bought from them before but I used paypal so it'll be fine if they do turn out to be dodgy.

Bought a bunch of UHD discs from Zoom with no problems, I pre-ordered Blue Planet II and it arrived last week, so its possible you'll even get Blade Runner early.

I'll definitely be using them again, although they don't seem to have a massive selection of titles.

For the love of god please tell me you've not bought a tv like that and you're going to stick it in the strawberry floating corner :fp:

Pet TV peeve of mine, tvs in corners or even worse, above a fireplace :dread:

Denny, try the metal head episode of black mirror. It looks fantastic and is a great test of blacks and whites for obvious reasons.

It’s perfect in the corner the way my lounge is set up. It’s not going on the wall. My cool LoTR prints are there.

I've got my 55" Sony on a fairly inexpensive Ikea TV unit which while not exactly befitting a £1000+ TV at least looks acceptable enough (for now at least, I'm not overly pleased with its shelf height).

I generally don't like TVs on walls unless they've been professionally done with all the cabling concealed.

To be fair it doesn't even come close to fitting in the corner.

I'm still convinced 55 would have been large enough but I am enjoying the ridiculous size of it. It's like a home cinema.

Mine is having to crane my neck up to watch a TV hung above a fireplace.

You definitely made the right choice. I know I keep saying it but you WILL get used to it so having the biggest screen you can is what you want to do.

Have you tried the witness for HDR yet? I was just showing a mate and toggling it on and off, it's a staggering difference.
