I remember the name ChaosControl but don't really remember who they were. Unless they were Mad Mel, then I remember who they were and that sounds like exactly the kind of thing Mad Mel would have done.

CC joined the forum pretty late on, she was a great member, probably one of the few i actually became genuine friends with.

The hacking incident was a rather bizarre one and there was never any hard evidence either way as to the authenticity of it (it was essentially her word against guwuh's). It did however, occur on the same day as Hackgate, where one of the mod accounts was genuinely hacked and used to ban a bunch of people the hacker didn't like, and (weirdly) delete all the posts of another mod.

To this day, the name of the hacker was never made public, many of us had our suspicions as to the culprit and there was several rumours going around, but with the mods keeping schtum, there was no way of knowing for sure.

I thought the hacker was common knowledge? He still a member afterall.

Most of us never actually found out, it may have been discussed amongst some of the more tight knit groups, but it was never widely circulated.

I do hope ChaosControl is doing ok, she always seemed nice to me. I remember having a pleasant evening chatting with her and a few others over drinks on Discord.

I went away for a few weeks, came back and found CC had gone. I thought she was pretty decent.

I missed hackergate too.

So you guys have come from one hacked forum to another. Ours was... Well, it was a thing that ended up with 3 generally well liked members (at the time) being permabanned, probably IP banned as well. A sad day.

Pretty sure englishGAMER was targeted too.

I found the forum went a bit silent after that all happened.

Luckily, no one gave enough of a toss about me to hack my account.

ChaosControl seemed nice on the few occasions I interacted with her.

ChaosControl was nice and we exchanged a few messages mainly towards the end when she left because of some of the people on SONM being rather annoying

I messaged her just before the shutdown and she seemed to be doing alright, can't remember exactly what she said though

Also re: the cool group on SONM, it was obviously the FG&Q crew
