Whenever we get an earthquake I'm always reminded of how British people react to earthquakes in the local news.

This is probably the most British list I have ever read.

A bug has kicked in and I'm hot, cold, sweaty, aching and headache-y.

Doing nothing except looking over GRcade*.

* That"s my life, nothing to do with the bug etc.

Actually having to look for HDYFRN is certainly a novelty I'm not used to yet.

It's your last chance to sign up for AYA? if you want to. Sign-ups close tomorrow afternoon and the game starts Monday. http://grcade.co.uk/t:are-you-a-starts-monday-19th?f=7

When you do, you should get to know them through the game a little better and that might help you find them more approachable next time.

The game helped me through some times where I had pretty serious depression/anxiety so I really think there's a lot of value in it.

In terms of meta cards it is kind of expensive to set up but if you buy singles and know what you're doing (some products give you really good cards relatively cheaply) then it's not actually that bad. Maybe £100 per set, or less, depending on what you do. My main problem is I developed a taste for full arts, which are rarer and therefore more expensive. but the bling tho. omg ;P

Yeah, you're right, I should. My anxiety's been really bad recently and if I don't at least try something soon I can't see it heading anywhere good. I've just let it dictate my life for so long that even small things are really hard these days. I will keep an eye out for the next pre-release since I find those easiest then maybe I can work my way up to it from there.

I bought mostly singles when I was playing in the past but even that can add up quickly, especially when you’re not sure what deck to play - I forked out for Volcanion then figured out I didn't really like how it played. I’m unemployed so it can be a bit painful keeping up. Maybe I can find a decent low tier deck that’ll be functional long term, Raticate was good for that. I’m not really sure what the meta’s like these days. Also, I agree, full arts are pretty and always really tempting! It can be hard not to buy boosters and hope you’ll get something awesome.

I'm sat here feeling drowsy and wobbly... I hadn't known that Wales and Bristol have now gone :( . RIP in pieces Moggy, Pedz, Jazzem, Karl, Minoru and, uhm, maybe others? Only Ad7 survived?

Yes we are all dead. Except Ad7, the suspension on his van just managed to cushion the worst of the quake for him.

Understandable about Volcanion. It's a very clunky, weird deck. I've never liked it.

The Garchomp/Lucario/Cynthia deck is probably going to end up tier 2. You can get a lot of the cards you'll need for it by getting the Mach Strike theme deck twice. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki ... trike_(TCG)

There's no standard build for it but generally you'd want a 4/4/4 line of Garchomp, 3/3 Lucario, 4 Cynthia, 2 or 3 pal pad etc. I've not tested it too much but it's a pretty cool concept and can regularly do 200 damage per turn. Chcuk in a couple of staples from the sets in between (Field Blower, Guzma, Choice Band, etc) and you're going pretty well. The only real money card you'd need is Tapu Lele GX (x2) which is kind of like the new Shaymin.
