I’ve been battling COVID all week, in 2022 PAH. Did the lateral test and both myself and my partner definitely have it. Not as bad as it was on Wednesday when it was the lovely combo of high temperature, dizzy, fatigue, and bastard cough. Thankfully down to just cough and sore throat but we’re still isolating. I haven’t been outdoors since Monday.

I DREAD to think what we would have been like without vaccines.

Ah, you caught it. Sorry to hear it, but it sure sounds like you're recovering.
And yeah, without vaccines it'd probably be much worse.

Went to my first concert in like 3 years and holy strawberry float it was amazing. Went to see Butcher Babies (Support), Beyond the Black and Amaranthe and it was strawberry floating incredible. God damn my back hurts so bad but it was so worth it.

God I must be old, I've never of any of those. Listened to a couple of Amaranthe songs and they sound like a mash-up of Evanescence and Avenged Sevenfold.

I don't think you're old, they're just not very well known. Amaranthe are a Swedish band and Beyond the Black are German. Butcher Babies I think are American but I'd never heard of them before.

Can highly recommend those.

For the fourth year on the trot we ended up having Christmas with just me and my partner. We were planning on seeing family, but then we both got covid. Maybe next year will break the trend :lol:

Very low mood. Wish i had a whack of valium or ritalin to cheer me up.

Feeling a bit empty at the moment.

I wouldn't say i was particularly depressed or anything (not like i have been before), more that i'm just utterly bored out of my skull.

Been stuck in town now for 10 days, there's naff all to do here, the TV is shite (went downstairs this evening and found my sister watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), the rain seems never ending, and i can't even go out next week because there's a bloody rail strike.

Before christmas my schedule was manic (so much so i'm only just uploading videos filmed in early december), i always like to keep busy and this autumn was particularly so.

It's the same though every year post christmas, i end up stranded here with little or nothing to do (nothing positive anyways).
