My vacuum cleaner is nineteen years old. It's one off those, uhm, "pull-along" type ones. It uses bags, though, and the shop in my town that sold them has now closed down. Could be a vacuum crisis cropping up in my world soon.

If it is a Henry type they work without the bag.

I sourced the photo from Vacuumland - "The website and social network for experts, collectors and fans of vintage and brand new vacuum cleaners, floor polishers and all other floor care products." :o .

If I'm honest I'm surprised you don't have one of those manual push me pull you things.

That's the one, don't know why but it seems the sort of thing you would have.

My wife's parents brought us a handheld vacuum from Japan, a Mikita (I thought they just make stuff like drills and saws), and I agree it is awesome. It makes cleaning a breeze, but it has such a tiny capacity, it basically needs to be emptied once a week. Also it's not the most powerful thing ever, if I have to vacuum carpet, the Bissel is much better. That being said, I would definitely invest in a Dyson if the suction is good.

It's a disposable title, we are going to replace it 3 times a month.
